Boy Oh Boyer
Andre Boyer is picking a nice time to start catching some cards, and he's used that momentum to climb among the leaders. In one interesting hand, Boyer was up against Jeff Siegal. Siegal had raised to 6000 and Boyer reraised to 9000 while showing the A
, this despite the A
and A
having already been mucked by others. Siegal made the call with the 6. Boyer bet out on every street to the end, finishing with A4K8. His clubs seemed to negate the hand of Siegal, who opened with 6JQ8. Siegal appeared tempted to fold on sixth street, and took his time before deciding to call again on seventh. Boyer then showed A
K8 in the hole for aces-up. Siegal mucked his hand.
Boyer then busted the short-stacked Joel Fischbein a few hands later. With 3599, Boyer again bet on every street and drew calls, until Fischbein committed his final 2300 on sixth street. Boyer flipped over pocket queens for queens and nines, while Fischbein, with J825 was trying to back into a flush. It never came and Fischbein was eliminated in 19th place.
Nicholson Sent Packing
Chris McIntyre opened with 78 and picked up the 4 on fifth street. Ryan Nicholson opened with 85 and was all-in once he connected with the A on fifth street, having the A in the hole. But McIntyre had two buried hearts and added a fifth on sixth street to complete the flush and the elimination.
Townsend Takes a Hit, Then a Hike
Charlie Townsend lost a large portion of his chips in a battle with Greg Pappas. Townsend opened with potential, drawing the 10AJ3. He bet on fourth street, then check-called the rest of the way. Pappas was showing 7K92. When it came to the showdown, Pappas said, "all I have is the flush I started with," showing the 85. That was enough to scoop the pot, and Townsend was eliminated a few hands later.

Jett Shoots Down Another
Chip Jett and Sabyl Landrum were in a battle while Kim Erfle waited in the wings, all-in for his final 1000 in chips. Landrum held the lead through fourth street showing K4, before Jett then connected for consecutive aces on fifth and sixth street. He drew a call from Landrum on fifth street, but when her sixth card left her showing K452, she made the fold. Jett, now showing 108AA, showed 10-8 to be his hole cards for three pair. Erfle showed he was dealt AA in the hole, but was unable to catch up.
Rose Cracks Aces
Charlie Townsend and Roy Rose took turns going at it in a heads-up battle. Rose completed the bring-in to 2000 with the Q showing, and was raised to 4000 by Townsend who held the A. Townsend led out on fourth and fifth street, before Rose hitting running sixes for a pair on sixth street and he bet out. Rose was showing QJ66 when he made his 4000 bet on seventh street. Townsend was holding A1042 when he was facing the call. He eventually elected to lay his hand down, showing the A to be one of his hole cards.
Brown Hits Rough Stretch
Chad Brown got off to a rough start with the new seating arrangements. It began with a battle against Jeff Siegal, who completed with the Q after Brown brought in with the 2. Siegal added the A on fourth street and bet out 1500, then on fifth street he bet out 3000 with the 4. Brown, now with 2K9, raised on fifth street to 6000. On sixth street, Siegal added the Q for a pair showing and bet out again. Again Brown raised, having added the 3. Both players checked seventh street, and Brown showed wired deuces for three-of-a-kind. Siegal held Q-J-4 in the hole and had filled up, queens over fours.
Brown then got caught up on a flush draw that cost him further chips, though he gained those back when he opened with the K and was called by the Q through seventh street, both players having paired one of their hole cars.

Danny Kalpakis Doubles Up
Kalpakis got it all in once again on fifth street with a straight draw and a pair of jacks against Giacomo D'Agostino's pair of kings. D'Agostino failed to improve but Kalpakis came from behind to catch a ten for two pair. Kalpakis doubled to 64,000 in chips.
Jeffrey Siegal Eliminated in Eighth Place ($14,041)
Jeffrey Siegal was all in holding aces up and looking to double up. Unfortunately for him, Max Troy was rolled up with sevens to bust him in eighth place.
Andre Boyer Eliminated in Seventh Place ($16,642)
Andre Boyer battled a short stack for awhile, but finally succumbed to Al Barbieri and his trip fours. Bracelet winner Boyer was eliminated in seventh place.
Danny Kalpakis Eliminated in Sixth Place ($21,842)
Kalpakis has finally been eliminated after numerous double ups throughout the final table. This time he had the best hand with a pair of sixes, but Barbieri hit trip deuces on fifth street to end his day in sixth place.
