T.J. Cloutier Crippled After Losing Huge Hand With Aces
Apr 22, '18
There was an opening bet to 125,000, and the button raised to 500,000. T.J. Cloutier was next to act in the small blind and he shoved all in for about 1.2 million in total. Stefan Williams in the big blind also moved all in, but it was only for 625,000. It was folded back to Cloutier and he tabled AA. Williams tabled JJ, and he was in need of a lot of help. He remarked to Cloutier, “this will be the fifth time you busted me in a tournament.” Cloutier responded, “it’s not over yet.”
The flop had plenty of assistance in store, as it fell J104. Cloutier was dismayed at the turn of events. The 4 on the turn gave Cloutier some new hope with a flush draw, but the J on the river gave Williams quads. Cloutier was down to about 500,000. Williams was sitting with an above average stack of about 1.8 million thanks to the pot.

Apr 22, '18
We caught up with the action on a board reading J10487, and Stefan Williams had bet about 100,000. Hyejung Kim, who was out of position, shoved for about 450,000 more. Williams, who only had about 370,000 left, went deep into the tank. The clock was eventually called on him, but he pushed his stacks into the middle before the tournament director was able to start the countdown. Kim tabled AJ for top pair that was turned into a bluff. Williams tabled 107, which was just two pair. He made an amazing call for his tournament life. Kim was down to about 75,000, while Williams was up to about 1.4 million. It was the largest hand of the tournament thus far.
