Pappas Loses a Flip
Apr 11, '15
Action folded to Bill Pappas in the hijack, who raised to 5,100. The player in the cutoff moved all in for 22,800 and action folded to Pappas, who went into the tank for a minute.
“I’ll take a fold,” said the cutoff.
Pappas committed the chips to call and it was off to the races with Pappas’ AQ against his opponent’s 44. The flop put Pappas in the lead as the dealer spread a flop of A85. The turn was the 9, but the river was the 4 and the cutoff sits back down and collects his chips as Pappas slides to 172,000.

Bill Pappas checked out of the big blind and the player in early position bet 8,000 on the turn with the board reading J54J. Pappas check-raised to 20,000 and the player in early position quickly check-raised all in. Pappas snap-called and the cards were tabled.
