The main event is playing out right now and the winner is likely to take home one of the largest first place payouts of Season III of the Card Player Poker Tour.
Before each CPPT main event gets underway there is an entire series of smaller tournaments in the days leading up. So far, seven players have taken home trophies in bestbet prelim tournaments.
Mikhail Zdanovksiy won the largest tournament outside the main event, the annual kick-off to the series, a $350 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee. After navigating his way through a field of 662 players, Zdanovskiy made a four-way chop that saw him take home the trophy and $29,454, his largest live cash to date.
