Deborah Miller Scores Huge Early Double Up
May 05, '17
We caught up with the action on a board reading Q1044J with about 11,000 in the pot.
Gloria Jackson bet 7,000 and Deborah Miller moved all in for a total of 17,325. With the action back on Jackson, she went into the tank.
After about a minute, Jackson apologized for taking awhile with her decision.
“I’m not calling the clock,” said one tablemate. “It’s the first level, take all of the time you need,” said another.
After two minutes of thought, Jackson said, “Alright, only thing left to put you on is A-K.”
Miller didn’t respond. After four minutes in the tank, Jackson finally made the call. Sure enough, Miller turned over A-K for a Broadway straight. Jackson held A-Q for top pair, top kicker, but it wasn’t enough to secure the pot.
After the double up, Miller increased her stack to roughly 46,000. Jackson was left with just 2,200.
