Brandon Zuidema is now up to 590,000 thanks to back-to-back eliminations. On the first hand, Timothy Xu raised to 25,000 and was met with a three-bet shove for about 60,000 on the button from Anne Liu.
Zuidema moved all-in from the big blind, and Xu folded. Zuidema showed pocket aces, and they held against Liu’s Q10 to score the knockout.
On the next hand, Xu moved all-in for his last 180,000 or so, and Zuidema woke up with AK.
Xu was dominated with KJ, and he failed to connect as the board rolled out 742Q3.

We arrived right before the break to find a flop of A43 and John Smith all-in. Brandon Zuidema had already made the call and Bobby Suer was debating calling as well. He eventually did call with the 42 for a pair, gutshot and backdoor club draw. Smith held the QQ, but Zuidema had the best hand with the AQ.
The turn was the 7 and the river the 9 and Zuidema’s aces were enough to earn him the double knockout. He chipped up to 542,000 after the hand.
