Aug 23, '18
Steve Karp is now sitting on 140,000 in chips after winning a massive flip with pocket jacks against his opponent’s AK.
The flop of Q-J-4 gave Karp a set, but also left his opponent with four outs to a straight. The turn and river came 7, 2, however, and Karp earned the big pot.
Karp is a tournament regular with more than $1.5 million in cashes. His best score was for $414,116 when he took second in a $1,500 no-limit hold’em tournament at the 2009 World Series of Poker. Karp has also had success here in Pompano Beach, having won the 2010 Isle Classic for $55,854.
