Kornuth Wins Event No. 50, Boudreau Finishes in Second ($313,792)

Chance Kornuth raised to 200,000 and Kevin Boudreau popped it up to 600,000. Kornuth called and they saw the flop of 28J.

A series of betting got Boudreau all in and at risk. Their hands:

Chance Kornuth raised to 280,000 from the button and Ted Martin moved all in from the small blind for 550,000. Kevin Boudreau called and so did Kornuth.

The flop came 6102 and Boudreau moved all in for 340,000 more. Kormuth made the call and had both Boudreau and Martin at risk. Their hands:

The turn was the 9, giving Boudreau the ace-high flush. The 4 landed on the river and Martin was eliminated while Boudreau tripled up to 2.4 million.

Danny Smith raised only to have Kevin Boudreau put him all in. Smith called and they showed down:

The board ran out 936QK and Smith was blasted in 3rd place, winning $226,923.

John Phan Eliminated by Kevin Boudreau

John Phan somehow found the rest of his stack all in against Kevin Boudreau. We’re not sure how the action went down, but there was an awkward period of time before the cards were shown as the dealer asked Phan if he wanted to call, despite all of his chips being over the line. The rest of the table was confused, but the dealer insisted that Phan vocalize his action.

Nonetheless, Phan finally said call and the hands were shown. Phan held KJ and Boudreau showed AK. The flop came down QJ4 and Phan asked for a deuce.

Instead, the A peeled off, leaving him drawing very thin. The river was the 5 and Phan was eliminated.
