Jason Simon started the level off strong, taking out fellow big stack James Goodwin to increase his stack to 180,000, good enough for second place overall.
Goodwin and Simon got into a raising war on a flop of A-10-3. Simon moved all in over the top of a three-bet and was surprised to see Goodwin snap call with A-6. Simon’s A-K was far ahead and managed to fade the three-outer.
Now, Simon only trails Jeremy Vaughn, who has increased his chip count to 245,000.
