Jordan Turoff Wins Massive Pot With Quads
Jan 19, '18
Kris Pickett raised to 1,700 from under-the-gun and was called by the hijack, Jordan Turoff in the cutoff, the button, and both blinds.
The flop fell 865 and the blinds checked. Pickett bet 3,000, and the hijack immediately moved all-in behind him for about 21,000.
Turoff then moved all-in over the top for 31,325. The button and blinds folded, and the Pickett quickly called, putting both players at risk.
The hijack showed 76 for middle pair and an open-ended straight draw, but he was bested by Turoff’s 55 for a set. Pickett, however, held 97 for a flopped straight.
After all of the cards were on their back, the dealer turned the 5, giving Turoff quads and ending the hand. The inconsequential river was the K, and Turoff nearly tripled up to around 95,000.
