How Many Brothers Does Nam Le Have?
Before the hand, Adam Levy told Leory Le that he looked familiar. When asked if he ran with Nam Le and that crew, Leroy replied, "Yeah, he's my brother." Levy said, "So wait, you're Tommy Legend?" "No" said Leroy, "I'm his other brother Leroy." "How many of you guys are there?" asked Levy. "Five brothers and one sister", replied Leory. "Let me guess, she plays poker too?" Everyone smiled, but it was Levy who was laughing at Leory Le's expense a short time later after doubling through the latest Le to hit the tournament trail.
Adam Levy Doubles Through Leroy Le
Down to his last 33,000 or so, Adam Levy moved all in from early position and Leroy Le called from the button.
Levy: JJ
Le: KQ
Board: 652JQ
Levy led with the best hand while Le flopped a flush draw. The turn gave Levy top set and Le needed any heart except the 6 to eliminate his opponent. The river was a queen, pairing Le a little too late as Adam Levy doubled up to over 70,000. After the hand Leroy Le was left with just under 50,000 in chips.
Adam Levy Eliminated
It wasn't too longafter doubling through Leroy Le that Adam Levy ran out of lives after getting it all in against the no. 2 spot Garrett Beckman. Beckman raised to 10,000 before the flop and Levy shoved for about 45,000 total, Beckman called.
Levy: 55
Beckman: AJ
Board: 9989J
Levy had the best hand all the way until the river where Beckman spike a jack, sending Levy home just in time for dinner.
Russell Spaid Doubles Through Chip Leader David Barter
After eliminating Mickey Wernick last level, and a handfull of other players since then, Russell Spaid continued to rake chips to his side of the table, grabbing the the no. 3 spot on the leaderboard this level after doubling through the chip leader David Barter.
Ona flop of 1082, David Barter led out with a 15,000 bet and Rusell Spaid moved all in for just under 100,000. Barter called and the players turned over their cards.
Spaid: 76
Barter: JJ
Barter held the overpair while Spaid flopped a flush draw and an inside straight draw. The turn was the 3, and Spaid got the checkmark, Barter was drawing dead on the turn. The river was the 6, and Spaid doubled up to over 200,000 while the current chip leader fell down to just over 300,000. Luckily, 300,000 and change was still enough to secure the chip lead heading into the dinner break.
