Samuel Uhlmann Wins Weird, But Big Hand
Jan 20, '18
After a couple limps, Samuel Uhlmann raised to 750. He was called in a few spots before one of the original limpers threw out a few too many chips. As a result, instead of a call, he was forced to raise to 1,450.
(Note: His actual raise should have been to 1,200, but this was missed by the players at the table.)
After a call, the action was back on Uhlmann who decided to four-bet to 3,500. Much to his surprise, he was called by five other players!
The flop fell 1062 and after being checked to, Uhlmann bet 7,700. This time, his only caller was the player on his immediate left.
The turn was the J, and Uhlmann checked. His opponent then bet 15,000. Uhlmann counted the rest of his stack and then moved all-in for 28,500. His opponent called, turning over KQ for a straight draw, and Uhlmann was ahead with his J10 for two pair.
The river was the K, and Uhlmann more than doubled up to around 95,000.
