Payman Arjang raised to 26,000 in early position and Binh Nguyen called on the button. Tom Braband then made it 90,000 to go from the small blind.
Arjang tanked but eventually folded and Nguyen then moved all in, having Braband remaining 400,000 covered. Braband looked sick about it, but called off the rest of his stack, showing A

. Nguyen shows 88 and Braband disgustedly turns away from the table.

Paul Wasicka Eliminated in 28th ($38,035)

Payman Arjang raised to 24,000 and Paul Wasicka moved all in behind him for 235,000. Donal D'Auria tanked for several minutes in the big blind before folding what he later claimed was pocket nines.
Arjang snap called with KK
and Wasicka showed down A10. The board came out nine high and Wasicka was eliminated in 28th place, earning $38,035.
The remaining 27 players are now redrawing for the final three tables.

Paul Wasicka Wins Huge Pot

Paul Wasicka raised preflop and was called by Kofi Farkye on the button and Payman Arjang in the big blind.
The flop came 743 and Arjang bet 20,000. Wasicka called and so did Farkye.
The turn was the 8 and Arjang checked. Wasicka also checked and then Farkye bet 45,000. Arjang called and Wasicka called.
The river was the 3 and Arjang check once again. This time, Wasicka bet 100,000. Farkye went into the tank for about 3 minutes before folding and Arjang made the call.
Wasicka showed AA and Arjang mucked his hand. Wasicka now has 510,000 in chips.

Payman Arjang Eliminated in 8th Place ($133,632)

Payman Arjang hasn't made too many friends at the table with his consistently long decision making process. The players have been respectful so far, but their patience was tested with his last two hands of the evening.
On the first hand, Binh Nguyen raised to a standard amount from early position and Arjang, sitting with 10 big blinds, tanked in the small blind with AJ. After about five minutes of agony, Arjang folded, flashing the hand to the table.
On the very next hand, Arjang raised to 170,000 on the button. Blake Cahail folded and Chris Karagulleyan raised a handful of chips, insinuating that he was putting Arjang all in. Arjang asked for a count, despite being extremely outchipped and realized that he would have another 135,000 behind.
Five minutes and some complaints from the rest of the table later, Arjang unbelievably just calls, leaving himself with just over two big blinds. The dealer was so confused that she asked the players to turn their cards up.
Instead, Karagulleyan bet the rest dark and both players flipped up their hands. Arjang had AJ and Karagulleyan showed KK.
The flop came out A52 and the table got visably ill. The turn was the 8 and the players began to think about the possiblity of hours more of tank decision making.
Mike Sowers, pleading for the poker gods to bless the table, shouted out for the K. Instead the river was..... the K! The room erupted in celebration. Karagulleyan, by far the crowd favorite, graciously offered a handshake to Arjang as he exited the room. Arjang received $133,632 for his eighth place finish.
The table, excited about being one step closer to the final table, will now continue until just six remain.

Payman Arjang Doubles Up

Payman Arjang raised to 170,000 from the button and Blake Cahail reraised to 300,000 from the small blind. Chris Karagulleyan folded in the big blind.
Arjang announced all in for another 220,000 and Cahail called. Arjang showed AK and Cahail showed 55.
After seeing the cards, Karagulleyan announced that he folded A-K, which of course made Cahail sweat, knowing the inevitable was coming.
The board came KJ294 and Arjang doubled up to 1.15 million. Cahail is still going strong with 2.1 million.

Donald D'Auria Eliminated in 11th Place ($64,477)

Payman Arjang moved all in for 240,000 from the cutoff and Donald D'Auria moved all in behind him on the button. The blinds folded and Arjang showed K10 which was dominated by D'Auria's KJ.
Nonetheless, the board ran out A6672 giving Arjang the winning flush and a double up to 550,000. D'Auria was left with 20,000 in chips.
After waiting for a hand, D'Auria was all in and called by Cornel Cimpan and both Mark Bryan and Pat Walsh in the blinds. The flop came J97 and Walsh bet 110,000. The rest of the side pot players got out of the way and Walsh showed J5. D'Auria showed AQ and needed help. The turn and river came 52 and D'Auria was eliminated in 11th place, earning $64,477.

Clock Anyone?

Teddy Monroe and Payman Arjang are taking a very long time with each decision. In fact, they've been tanking on nearly every decision all tournament long.
Recently, both players were involved in a pot that took so long, that the other table was able to get through more than seven hands in the same time span. Amazingly, there was only about eight big blinds in the pot they were battling for. The hand would've taken longer, but Cornel Cimpan called the clock to put the rest of the table out of its misery.
Monroe took offense to the clock being called and complained about it to tournament director Matt Savage. On the very next hand, however, the clock was once again called on Monroe, forcing him to muck his hand yet again.
The other table has seen nearly four times as many hands and its starting to bother some of the players. Yet for some reason, it's Monroe who has been angered the most, accusing the rest of the table of angling against him.
