John Murphy entered the homes of millions via the televised 2004 World Series of Poker main event. The young player outlasted most of the 2,576 player field to finish in 13th place, for $275,000. That score wasn?t bad for his first major tournament cash. He followed it with a win in a $2,000 buy-in preliminary event at the 2004 Mirage Poker Showdown and then another win in a $500 buy-in prelim at the 2005 L.A. Poker Classic. The young professional has cashed in several major events thus far and shows no signs of slowing down.
