. Action checked to Molina and he bet 26,000. Karim called and Lactaoen raised to 78,000. Molina re-raised to 131,000 and Karim folded. Lactaoen went into the tank for a short time before letting of his hand.

Jon Lactaoen Doubles Up Through Keven Stammen... Again

With plenty of chips in the middle and a board of A
8210 Keven Stammen checked to Jon Lactaoen, who bet 55,000.
Stammen raised to 110,000 and Lactaoen moved all-in for 222,000 total. Stammen made the call and rolled over the 88 for a flopped set.
Lactaoen had also flopped a set, but his AA was the best hand.
The river did not bring Stammen’s one-outer and instead the K completed the board and secured the double up to 580,000 for Lactaoen.

Jon Lactaoen Doubles Through Keven Stammen

Jon Lactaoen moved all-in for 160,000 from the cutoff and Keven Stammen called from middle position.
Stammen was ahead with pocket jacks to Lactaoen’s pocket tens, and things looked grim for Lactaoen after a flop of three sevens. But a ten on the turn put Lactaoen in good position to double up. The river was the 8 and Lactoaen doubled.

Jon Lactaoen Verus Richard Hawes

Richard Hawes raised to 18,000 from middle position and Jon Lactaoen called from the cutoff. The two saw a flop of 1086 and Hawes check-called Lactaoen’s bet of 18,000. After the Q opened on the turn Hawes again check-called Lactaoen’s bet, this time for 33,000. The river was the 3 and Hawes checked. Lactaoen fired out a bet of about 86,000, sending Hawes deep into the tank. Hawes ultimately folded his hand and Lactaoen stacked up to about 380,000.

Jon Lactaoen Stacks Up

Jon Lactaoen has had a pretty good series here at the Wynn. He won the $300 no-limit hold’em for more than $10,000 and came in second in the $600 no-limit hold’em $250,000 guarantee for more than $46,000.
In a recent hand Lactaoen raised to 5,500 from under the gun+1 and Eric Blair called from the small blind. The big blind followed and the three players saw a flop of 854. All three players checked and saw the K on the turn. Blair checked again, but the big blind fired out 8,500. Lactaoen called but Blair opted out. The river was the J and the big blind checked. Lactaoen bet 23,000 and the big blind called.
Lactaoen showed pocket Kings for a set.
“What are the odds?” The big blind asked as he turned over one King.
“I had three of those,” Blair said, pointing to the Jack on the river.
“Really?” A surprised Lactaoen said.
“Yep,” Blair answered.
Lactaoen is up to 140,000, having started the day with 87,200.
In total, Lactaoen has won $57,357 on the Card Player Poker Tour, making him one of the best performing players early in Season III.

Jon Lactaoen Eliminated 13th ($7,217)

Jon Lactaoen has had a great series here at the Wynn which was capped off by a deep run in the main event. Unfortunately, Lactaoen’s streak came to an end in a pretty brutal fashion, making him the first bustout of the day and the 13th place finisher.
Lactaoen’s end was brought about when Timothy Chang moved all-in with A5 and Lactaoen snap-called with AQ. Chang picked up a straight draw after a flop of 632 and completed it when the 4 fell on the turn.
“There is it,” Chang said.
The river was a meaningless A and Lactaoen was left with just 26,000 after that.
On the next hand Lactaoen moved all-in from the button and Zo Karim called from the big blind without looking at his cards.
Lactaoen showed ten-nine of spades and Karim flipped over one card -the 6.
The dealer insisted Karim show both his cards before fanning the board, and Karim turned over his other hole card – the 8.
A flop of AQ8 signaled Lacatoen’s finish as his hand failed to improve as the board ran out 25.
In total, Lactaoen earned $64,574 during this series.
