A Lovely Lady Doubles
Clonie Gowen was essentially all in preflop, committing the rest of her chips blind just before the flop was dealt. The flop came J66 and her opponent called her all in and showed A2. Gowen turned over AJ and was in dominating shape. The board finished 79 and Gowen doubled to around 15,000.
Lovely Ladies Cruel to a Lovely Lady
Vanessa Rousso got all in preflop and was called by Eugene Todd. Rousso turned over QQ, then saw the bad news when Todd turned over KK. The board ran 985107 to give Todd a pointless flush. After the chips were counted out it was revealed that Todd barely had Rousso outchipped and she was eliminiated.
And Yet Another Lovely Lady Doubles, Busts Later
The UK's young, talented and beautiful Olivia Boeree was on the verge of busting when she was all in with Q-10 against A-9. The board ran K-6-5-K and things didn't look good. But a 10 came on the river and Boeree doubled up to around 13,000. However, she busted just before the level's end.
Galasso Takes Out Two Opponents With Aces
Paul Quade, Mike Cordell and Amato Galasso got all in preflop with Galasso having both opponents covered. Quade showed 88, Cordell showed 55 and Galasso showed AA. The flop hit the underdog, coming 10-7-5 to give Cordell the set. His celebration was short-lived however, as an ace hit on the turn. The river was a meaningless 6 and Galasso knocked out Quade and Cordell with a set of aces.
