Hand of the Level:

After a preflop raise, Javed Abrahams reraised from the button. Then Faraz Jaka reraised from the small blind. The original raiser folded and Abrahams called.

The flop came out K-J-8 and Jaka moved all in. Abrahams called with A-K and was well ahead of Jaka’s K-6.

The 6 hit the turn, however, giving Jaka two pair and the winning hand when the river bricked.

Abrahams was eliminated and Jaka chipped up to a ridiculous 2,275,000.

Note: Jaka went on to make quads twice in the final minutes of the level to boost his stack near the 3 million mark.

Abrahams Continues Ascent

Javed Abrahams continues to make his chip stack grow, and this time he did it against a formidable opponent.

Tom Dwan raised from early position and Abrahams, on the button, was the lone caller. The flop came down K98 and Dwan checked. Abrahams bet and Dwan called. The turn brought the 4 and Dwan checked again. Abrahams nonchalantly bet 16,000 and was called rather quickly. Dwan checked the 8 on the river and, after a few moments of thought, Abrahams fired out 36,000. Dwan shifted in his seat, picked up some chips, grimaced, and made the call. Abrahams showed 76 for the flush and Dwan mucked his hand.

Abrahams is now up to about 440,000
