Alexander Villa Takes Over the Chip Lead
Nov 12, '21
Alexander Villa raised to 9,000 from early position and was called by the player on his direct left. Action folded to the cutoff, who moved all in for 16,000 and was called by both Villa and the middle position player.
The flop was J72 and Villa bet 25,000, potentially creating a side pot between him and the middle position player. But the player in middle position folded, leaving Villa heads-up against the all in player.
Villa showed AJ and was in great shape against his opponent’s J10.
The turn was the 4 and the river was the 8, which eliminated a player and sent the pot to Villa, who has the biggest stack in the field with just one more level to play.
Alexander Villa – 540,000

Ezeqiel Waigel Retakes Chip Lead
Nov 14, '21
Alexander Villa raised to 225,000 from the cutoff and Ezeqiel Waigel three-bet to 725,000 on the button. The blinds fold and Villa called.
The flop was A55 and both players checked to the K turn. Villa checked again and Waigel bet 1,375,000. Villa called.
The river was the 9 and Villa checked for a third time. Waigel took a few minutes of thought before betting 3,175,000. Villa immediately asked for a count on the bet and then went into a tank of his own.
He thought for several minutes and looked under the table twice, appearing to look for a tell from Waigel’s feet or legs. He apologized to the table twice as well for taking a long time to act, but eventually, he let his hand go.
Villa briefly pled with Waigel to show one card, but Waigel mucked both and took the pot. With the victory, he regains the chip lead and moves over 10 million.
Ezeqiel Waigel – 10,600,000
Alexander Villa – 5,200,000
