Leaving a job to become a professional poker player can be a difficult decision, but it can be made easier by a big score. That is what happened for Jason Young of Suffern, New York. He quit his job with the parks and recreation department and soon afterward won his first World Series of Poker bracelet. Young took home almost $330,000 for his first-place finish in the $1,500 buy-in no-limit hold'em shootout event at the 2008 WSOP.
