Arnaud Mattern hails from France. His first in-the-money finish in a European Poker Tour event was a nice one, as he was the victor of the event in Prague during Season 4. For that win, he earned just under $1 million.
Mattern is also a backgammon champion, though he switched to poker because it is much more lucrative. A few years back, he won the French Backgammon Championships but was awarded less than $10,000.
