Frank Rusnak Triples Up
Jul 19, '16
Frank Rusnak moved all in for 7,325 frm under the gun and the player in the hijack called. Michael Aron was in the big blind and reraised to 18,000. The hijack called.
The flop came A98 and Aron thought for a bit before betting 11,000. The hijack took his time before calling.
Rusnak spent the lengthy deliberation process preflop and post-flop dutifully eating a salad that had been delivered to the table not too long ago. He made significant progress over the course of the hand and remarked, “That was really thoughtful of you guys,” referring to the extra time giving him the ability to eat his food.
The turn brought the 5. Aron checked, his opponent bet 18,000 and Aron eventually called.
The river paired the board with the 5. Aron checked, then his opponent checked back.
Aron showed AK for aces up and the hijack tried to muck, but the table insisted since a player was all-in, he needed to show. The player eventually revealed QQ. Rusnak turned over the 5 first, then showed te 5 for good measure and tripled up with quads, while Aron raked in the substantial side pot.
Frank Rusnak – 24,500
Michael Aron – 110,000

Still More Arrivals
Mar 16, '15
Jon Eaton took to Twitter to express his pleasure with the growing field, including players he is familiar with and those he is not.
While Eaton was Tweeting away, a few more players of note joined tournament. On another walk through the tables we found Joseph Cheong, David Singer, David Levi, Jimmy Tran, Jared Hamby, Frank Rusnak and Dan Sindelar.
After busting with about one minute left in play last night, Larry Wright is also here again today.
“I went all-in blind from the big blind,” Larry told us. “I didn’t want to come back with only 27,000 anyway.”

Bad Beat Almost Follows Bad Beat
Oct 26, '10
There was a tough situation developing over at table 6. Len Ashby raised preflop and Frank Rusnak reraised behind him. Ashby then put out a big stack of chips, seemingly thinking it was enough to cover the remainder of Rusnak’s stack.
Rusnak must have thought so too, because he said call and turned up his QQ. At this point, Ashby showed AQ and the dealer noticed that both players still had chips behind since neither declared they were all in.
A ruling was made that the action would stand and the flop would be dealt. It came 1084 and Ashby moved all in for his last 6,800. Rusnak called and the A hit the turn.
The river was the 7 and Ashby doubled up to 185,000. Left with just 9,300, the floor then informed Rusnak that he would have to receive a one round penalty for exposing his cards.
The entire table then protested, explaining that he would be blinded out. The table all agreed that he should not receive the penalty because everyone assumed both players were all in and there was no malicious intent to deceive any of the other players. The tournament director agreed and Rusnak was allowed to play out his stack.
A few hands later, Rusnak was eliminated.
