Andrew Watson opened to 250,000 from the button and Chan Pelton called from the small blind. Herb Montalbano called from the big blind and the three saw a flop of Q93. Pelton checked and Montalbano bet 600,000. Watson raised to 1.2 million and Pelton folded. Montalbano called and the turn was the 8. Montalbano shoved and Watson called.

Watson showed 99 to Montalbano’s J10. The river was the 3 and Montalbano was eliminated.

Andrew Watson Doubles Through Austin Lewis

Austin Lewis opened to 160,000 form the button and Andrew Watson shoved all in for 980,000 from the big blind. Lewis called and the hands were tabled. Lewis was behind with KJ to Watson’s AK.

Watson doubled after a board of Q9247.

Lewis down to about 450,000.

Austin Lewis Up to 1.4 Million

Defending champion Austin Lewis is cruising along today and now has about 1.4 million in chips.

In a recent hand Andrew Watson raised to 40,000 from the button and Lewis called from the big blind. After a flop of J64, Lewis check-called Watson’s bet of 35,000. The turn was the 6 and Lewis made it 55,000. Watson folded.

Andrew Watson Eliminated By Andy Philachack

Andy Philachack raised to 3,200 from under the gun and Andrew Watson moved all in for just over 7,000 on the short stack. The action folded around to a distracted Brad Booth, who called Philachack’s raise, but not Watson’s.

Booth was then given the option to call Watson’s raise, or forfeit the 3,200. Fearing Philachack would raise behind him to isolate, a disgruntled Booth folded and Philachack called with A K.

Watson showed pocket fives, but was rivered when the board rolled out 10 3 2 5 4. Philachack now has 192,000.
