Big Hands:
Lindgren Aggressive Against the Aggressor
On a board of K965, aggressive Erik Pettersson bet 15,000 and Erick Lindgren called. The 4 fell on the river and Pettersson bet 26,000. Lindgren came over the top all in and Pettersson tanked for several minutes as the two stared each other down. He eventually folded and Lindgren had a 3-1 chip lead.
The final hand came when Pettersson moved all in for his last 24,500 and was called by Lindgren. Pettersson showed AJ but Lindgren was ahead with AK. The board came K8346 and Lindgren advanced to round 4.
OMGFullHouse
On a board of J621010, Jonas Entin bet 4,100 only to have Phil Galfond, AKA OMGClayAiken, raise to 14,000. Entin called and Galfond showed J10 for a full house, putting him back to even in the match. However, Galfond would later fall to Entin.
Jacob Gets Flushed
Guillaume de la Gorce was getting low on chips when he made a move against Alex Jacob. On a board of A9610, Jacobs made it 7,600 to continue and de la Gorce raised to 25,000. Jacob thought for a while then put his opponent all in. After making the call, de la Gorce showed J7 and was trailing Jacob's AQ, but he had outs. One came on the river in the form of the Q, giving him the flush and the players' stacks were back to even.
Top Pair, Queen Kicker?... Me Too
David WIlliams bet 6,000 on a Q53 flop and was called by Theo Tran. Williams bet 12,000 more when the 9 fell on the turn and Tran again called. The river was the 6 and both players checked. Williams showed QJ and Tran showed QJ for a split pot.
Williams Advances Over Tran
A few hands later, David WIlliams put Tran all in on a board of 8732 and Tran called. Williams showed J4 for the flush and Tran mucked. The river 9 didn't matter. Tran wandered through the tables muttering how he couldn't believe he let Williams beat him.
Min-Raise Vs. All In
On a flop of KQ2 Alec Torelli bet 10,000 and J.C. Tran min-raised to 20,000. After a brief pause, Torelli bet enough to put Tran all in and Tran quickly folded. After the hand, Torelli had a 130,000-30,000 chip lead on Tran and eventually won the match when Tran was in with Q-9 for his last 20,000 and Torelli's K-7 held up.
