During Season 3 of the European Poker Tour, Soren Kongsgaard finished third in the Grand Final in Monte Carlo and earned $812,000. The Danish player has been very successful playing tournament poker, and all of his winnings have been won overseas. Kongsgaard's first win came in 2006 when he took down the 500 Euro buy-in no-limit hold'em event during the Hold'em Series at the Aviation Club in Paris.
