John Bonetti was the epitome of toughness and not just at the card tables. Battling prostate and spinal cancer since 1992, Bonetti continued his valiant battle both on and off the felt. With his three World Series of Poker bracelets, Bonetti earned the fear of his competitors. With his battles against his ailing health and charismatic personality, Bonetti earned the respect and admiration of his peers.
Sadly, after having earned over $4 million in tournament winnings, Bonetti succumbed to his health woes and passed away in June of 2008.
