Mark Jun opened with an early positioned raise only to have John Hulett three-bet out of the big blind. Jun four-bet shipped all in for approximately 230,000 and Hulett took a beat before announcing a call.

Hulett Doubles Through Eskandari

A short-stacked John Hulett had moved in several times but got no callers.
Then, a few minutes into the new level, Massoud Eskandari raised to 275,000 from the button and Hulett moved all-in for 630,000.
Eskandari called and showed a dominating A9 to Hulett’s A8.
Hulett paired his eight on the flop of an 8JJ5J board and doubled up to about 1.2 million while Eskandari dropped to 4.3 million.

Hill Kerby called form middle position and Massoud Eskandari did the same from the cutoff.
Hulett checked from the big blind and the flop came 8105. Eskandari bet 125,000 when checked to and Hulett moved all-in for 440,000.
Kerby folded but Eskandari called.
Both players showed top pair but Hulett had the better kicker with A10 to Eskandari’s K10.
The turn was a 5 and a J completed the board.
Hulett doubled to more than 1 million while Eskandari’s lead dropped to 4.4 million.

Daniel Houlbrook Eliminated in 8th Place ($2,070)

Daniel Houlbrook moved all-in for about 110,000 from the hijack and John Hulett re-shoved form the small blind. The big blind released and we had another final table shodown.
Houlbrook showed QJ and was drawing slim against Hulett’s KK.
The board ran A5939 and the final table shrank.
Hulett chipped up to about 500,000 while Houlbrook won $2,070 for the 7th place finish.

Hulett Returns the Favor

Huy Pham raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and John Hulett re-raised all-in from the button.
Pham thought for a bit after action folded back to him and then called.
Pham showed 1010 and was in tough shape against Hulett’s JJ.
But Pham hit a set on the K91026 board and doubled to 1 million while Hulett was left with 390,000.

John Hulett Doubles Through Huy Pham

Hulett showed KJ and was behind after a flop of Q76. Hulett picked up a pair of jacks when the J opened on the turn and his pair held through the 8 on the river.

Double Doubles

There were a pair of doubles on table two.
First Huy Pham doubled to 1.2 million through Massoud Eskandari. Pham had KK and got it all-in against Eskandari’s AK.
The board was devoid of any aces and Pham doubled while Eskandari’s stack shrunk to 3.3 million. It was still good enough for the lead though.
A few hands later, John Hulett doubled through Jason Kim.
Kim had KQ while Hulett had 1010.
The board ran A10677 and Hulett doubled to about 50,000 while Kim’s stack shrunk to about 400,000.
