Chambers knocks out MrCasino on 7th street
On third street, Tom Chambers and Craig Gray raised back and forth to put Gray all in. Craig started out with 236 but ended with K4JJ for a pair of jacks. Chambers, though, didn't have anything until seventh street, but caught a four to complete a wheel and take the pot.
Corkins' luck runs out
Hoyt Corkins thought he was in good shape when he went all in with rolled up queens. But James Van Alstyne hit a seven-high straight on sixth street. Corkins needed a seven, four or three on seventh street to win with a full houe, but got a ten and was knocked out in 14th place.
Cantu stays alive with 'nut-nut'
After raising under the gun and getting reraised by 'Miami' John Cernuto, Cantu called but said he was worried. On a flop of 62Q both players checked. When the K and 4 came on the river Cantu bet out. After calling on the turn, Cernuto said that he just had nothing to call with and mucked his hand. Cantu stood up and groaned that he couldn't win any more chips. He said he had 'nut-nut' meaning A-3 and the ace-high flush, and flashed his cards to Cernuto.

Big Hands:
Bluff beats Corkins at showdown
Playing Omaha 8, Hoyt Corkins called a raise preflop by Farzad Rouhani and then raised on a T6T flop. When the 4 came on the turn, both players checked. After the 9 came on the river Rouhani bet. Corkins took a minute before deciding to call. Rouhani sighed and flipped over A6Q4 for two pair. He expected to lose the hand, but and was shocked to see Corkins flip over AJ83.
Habib survives -- temporarily
With the board showing 4685, James Van Alstyne bet enough to put Hasan Habib all in. Habib called and showed A2K9 for the nut low hand. Van Alstyne flipped over A375 for a eight-high straight. Habib took half the pot for over 10,000 chips, but was later eliminated just outside the money. Van Alstyne is currently among the chip leaders at 80,000 chips.
Big pot leaves Silverman in danger
In stud 8, after calling raises every street, Mizrachi raised Sam Silverman's 4,000 bet to 8,000. Mizrachi showed J49K, while Silverman had A929. Silverman, short on chips, took his time before calling. Mizrachi fired a bet on seventh street without look at his card. Silverman again took his time and even asked Mizrachi if he had three kings. Silverman's guess was right. He made the call, and Mizrachi showed a two black kings to take the monster pot and leave Silverman with under 8,000 chips.
