Jed Hoffman Climbs to 44,000
Mar 29, '14
Two-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Jed Hoffman is up to about 44,000 after a rivered flush in a recent hand. We missed the action, but Hoffman recounted the hand for us:
Greg Pincombe raised to 2,300 from the cutoff and Hoffman moved all-in for 24,00 from the button. Mark Lamb snap-called from the small blind and Pincombe got out of the way.
Lamb had been dealt pocket queens, while Hoffman was in possession of 86. Pincombe said he had folded ace-queen. Lamb was ahead after a flop of 8×102 but Hoffman picked up plenty of outs. Lamb was still ahead when the A opened on the turn, but Hoffman would win the pot and a double-up when the K opened up on the river.

Mark Lamb Wins a Few

The player in middle position limped in and Mark Lamb checked his option from the big blind. The flop was dealt Q83 and both players checked. The turn was the 8 and both players checked again. Lamb bet 1,000 after the 9 opened on the river and the big blind let go of his cards.
