John Dolan, The Early Chip LeaderJul 17, '17 We walked over to a newly-seated John Dolan and asked him where he got his very-large-for-the-first-level stack of about 70,000. “I got aces twice,” Dolan admitted, which got a chuckle from most of the table. One of the victims of Dolan’s good fortune was Ryan Hughes, who is no longer seated at the table, although he can still re-enter once per flight. Each player can play up to six bullets in this event, as registration will remain open until 7 p.m. on day 2. Player Tags: John Dolan Chen's River Bet Gets Called By DolanJul 19, '17 With a board of KQ6A6 Tommy Chen fired out a bet of 42,000 into an already sizable pot. He now sits with 445,000. Player Tags: John Dolan, Tommy Chen John Dolan Wins A Big One Without ShowdownJul 19, '17 With a board of Q74J John Dolan checked to martin Jacobson, who bet 25,000. Jacobson folded his hand without much fanfare and Dolan raked in the sizable pot. He now sits with just over 400,000. Player Tags: John Dolan John Dolan Drops A PotJul 19, '17 John Dolan, arguably best known for his 2010 main event final table, is still sitting with a healthy stack of more than 130,000 despite dropping a hand here early on day 2. We caught up with the action with Dolan raising in the cut off and getting three-bet by the button player to 5,200. The flop fell K62, and Dolan checked. His opponent fired 2,600, and Dolan called. The turn brought the A, and Dolan checked once again. This time he was faced with a 6,500-chip bet, and Dolan, who has $4.5 million in tournament earnings, mucked. Player Tags: John Dolan |
