Marty Smyth "Good Player"

Roland De Wolfe referred, tongue-probably-in-cheek to pot-limit Omaha world champion Marty Smyth as "a good player" after he came from behind on the river with A-J vs Nico Behling's A-K. Smyth, who now has around 22,000 in chips, gleefully patted himself on the back before raking in the chips.
Elsewhere Gino Alacqua is out having pushed his remaining 2,900 chips into the middle with K
J but failing to overcome A

The EPT Polish Open 2008 has come to a close. Nico Behling bet 60,000, Barbosa bet 200,000 and Behling went all in. He turned over J7 while Barbosa had him dominated with A10. The board came down A7

and Barbosa became the new champion. Behling who said something about it being his lucky hand, finishes runner up for €205,270.

Things have slowed down here heads up. Here are some of the hands that have just gone down:
Nico Behling bet 45,000 on a 1075 flop, Joao Barbosa reraised to 190,000, Behling folds.
Then, on a K76, Behling bets 20,000, Barbosa calls. The turn is the 3, Behling bets 55,000, Barbosa thinks and folds.
Chips then went back and forth once more but on a grander scale...
Behling bet 68,000 preflop and Barbosa called.
The flop was K87, Behling checks, Barbosa bets 75,000, and Behling raises to 200,000. Barbosa then goes one better and reraises all in. Behling folds after not very long, and smiles.
Behling then took some back a couple of hands later. Blinds in and the flop comes KJ9, Barbosa bets 70,000, Behling calls, and the turn comes the 4. Both players check. The river is the 8, Behling bets 185,000 and Barbosa folds.

Ludovic Lacay Eliminated in Eighth Place (â¬32,843)

Nico Behling bets 17,000, Lacay reraises 55,000, and Behling calls. The flop comes down 875 and Lacay bets 75,000. Behling raises it to 160,000, Lacay thinks and then pushes all in. Behling insta-calls and Lacay happily turns over AA. To his dismay, Mehling reveals 88 and Lacay stands up to leave. With half the rail-birds wishing for an ace, the turn comes the 4 and the river the 5. There is no help for Lacay and in anger and disappointment he quickly leaves. He takes home quite a tidy sum of €32,843 for his efforts.
