Hold’em
Ivey Gaining Steam
The action picks up on the flop of A24. The small blind bet into Ivey and he made the call. The turn was the 4 and again the other player bet and was met by a call from Ivey. The river was the J and the action went bet-call a third time. The players showed their hands:
Small blind: A7
Phil Ivey: AQ
The pot was a big one for Ivey who now has a better than average stack of 44,000

AAA Rescues Binger, But Only Temporarily
Binger: A2J10
Opponent 3728
Michael Binger, perilously low on chips, bet on every street and was called all the way down. On 7th street Binger put his last 2,400 chips into the middle. His opponent, not showing a tremendously dangerous board, thought for over a minute before making the call. Binger flipped over (AA5) and took down the pot, doubling up to 20,000. Unfortunately for Binger, he would be eliminated before the end of the level.
Razz
Jurgens on the Move
Tad Jurgens: 2973
Opponent: 27A5
The action on this hand is quite simple to relate. On 4th, 5th, and 6th streets Tad Jurgen called a bet from his opponent. On 7th street the other player bet again but this time Jurgens tossed in a raise. His opponent called and was not at all pleased to see Jurgens turn over (A64) for the second-nut low. The hand brings Jurgens up to 52,000.

$3,000 H.O.R.S.E. - Players Dropping Quick
Jun 13, '08
Players Left: 12
Eliminations: J.J. Hazan, David Levi, Mallory Smith, Mickey Appleman
Big Hands and Storylines:
J.J. Hazan Eliminated in 16th Place ($10,283) - Hold'em
J.J. Hazan raised and Hoyt Corkins reraised. Hazan moved in and Corkins made the call with pocket jacks. Hazan was behind with pocket threes and the board offered no help when it came 992J9. Hazan was eliminated in 16th place.
David Levi Eliminated in 15th Place ($10,283) - Omaha Hi-Lo
The action was unclear, but David Levi was unable to double up on the extremely short stack to survive. He was eliminated in 15th place.
Mallory Smith Eliminated in 14th Place ($13,711) - Omaha Hi-Lo
Mallory Smith was all in preflop against Jared Davis. Smith held J-J-8-5 but was up against the A-A-10-4 of Davis. The flop came Q85 and Smith took the lead with bottom two pair. The turn was the Q and all of a sudden Smith was counterfeited by Davis and his aces up. The river was the K and Smith was eliminated in 14th place.
Mickey Appleman Eliminated in 13th Place ($13,711) - Razz
Short stacked and desperate, Mickey Appleman was all in drawing to a 10 low, but it didn't matter if he made his hand or not, becaues Jennifer Harman had already made her 9 low. Appleman was eliminated in 13th place.
