Tom Marchese raises to 1,200 from under the gun +1, Getzwiller calls from middle position, Barry Schmiess calls from the cutoff and Edwards re-raises to 5,400. Marchese folds and Getzwiller and Schmiess both call. The flop is 763, Getzwiller checks, Schmiess checks and Edwards bets 25,000. Getzwiller moves all-in for about 14,000 and Schmiess folds. Junglen called and turned over 2 2 for the lead against Getzwiller’s A 8. The board came Q 9 6 6 K, no help for Sean Getzwiller who was eliminated in 9th place ($36,669). Getzwiller was denied what could have been his second bracelet of the summer while Junglen secured the chip lead with over 4 million. Baumstein Takes the Lead Shortly after Sean Getzwiller was eliminated in 8th place, Jeffrey Gross doubled through Scott Baumstein with A A against A J. Baumstein took a big hit there, but quickly bounced back after doubling through then chip leader Adam Junglen. Baumstein got it all in pre-flop with A A against Junglen’s K K. Baumstein took the chip lead that hand with over 3.5 million. Junglen tangled with Baumsetin in another big hand right before the break, dropping down to just over 1.6 million after Baumstein made aces and queens to skyrocket to 4.3 million in chips. Nicolas Fierrogottner – 2,045,000 Fierrogottner Takes The Lead As is the structure of a shootout event, the players all began the day even in chips and relatively deep stacked, but Mark Fierrogottner managed to pick up a few pots this level, crossing 2 million with the current chip lead. In a four-way limped pot, Nikita Lebedev bet 50,000 on a flop of K 10 10 and Mark Radoja and Nicolas Fierrogottner both called. The turn was the 10, Fierrogottner bet 150,000, Lebedev folded and Radoja called. The river was the 2, Fierrogottner bet 400,000 and Radoja called. Fierrogottner turned over K 10 for quad tens on the turn. Fierrogottner raked the pot, putting him over 2 million which was good for the lead at the moment.
