David Pham Wins A PotJul 18, '17 David Pham is looking to continue his hot summer here at the CPPT $5,000 buy-in main event at the Venetian casino on the Las Vegas strip. We caught up with the action on a board reading KJ6, and Pham had the button and was up against an opponent in the big blind. Pham had been check raised, but he elected to put out another raise, this time to 5,000, leaving himself with about 25,000 behind. Pham’s opponent went into the tank before mucking. “The Dragon” won a WSOP bracelet in early June, the third of his career. He won nearly $400,000 in prize money from the $1,500 no-limit hold’em event. Pham was an unstoppable force on the tournament circuit for most of the 2000s, winning Card Player Player of the Year honors in both 2000 and 2007. He has about $10 million in career tournament earnings and could add to the impressive sum in this CPPT event. Player Tags: David Pham |
