Gabe Costner is a southerner (born in Alabama, living in Mississippi) who started his career as a financial adviser before becoming a professional poker player. Costner is a cash-game specialist who rarely plays tournaments. In only his third major tournament cash, Costner made the final table of the 2008 World Poker Tour World Poker Open and finished in fifth place for more than $123,000.
