On the first hand of play this afternoon, Gregory Merson opened the button for 280,000, Keith Lehr reraised the big blind to 915,000, Merson shoved and Lehr called all in.
Lehr was all in for his tournament life and ahead before the flop with AQ against Merson’s K9.
There board came 10109QJ, giving Merson a pair of nines on the flop for the lead. Lehr turned top pair to regain the lead, but Merson rivered a straight to the king to win the tournament.
Keith Lehr was eliminated in 2nd place ($701,757) while Gregory Merson wins Event no. 57, taking home the $1,136,197 grand prize and the fifty-seventh gold bracelet of the 2012 WSOP.
