On the turn, with the board reading 994J, the player in the small blind led out for 3,000 and the player in the big blind called.
Tony Dunst was in the cutoff and called as well, which kept all three players in to see the 4 come on the river with about 15,000 in the pot.
The small blind checked and the big blind inquired as to how many blue, 5,000-denomination chips Dunst had left in his stack. Dunst exposed his three blue chips and then the big blind bet 13,800.
Dunst moved all in for 18,800, the small blind folded and the big blind called.
The big blind showed 104, good for bottom full house, but Dunst turned over J9, good a bigger full house and a double up.

Eli Elezra moved all in with pocket kings and he was up against A-K but his opponent spiked an ace to cripple his chip stack. He held just 5,500 after the hand and he busted a short time later.
Jamie Rosen Wins a Late One
Tony Utnage raised to 900 under the gun and middle position made the call. Jennifer Harman made the call from the cutoff and Jamie Rosen also made the call on the button. The flop fell 7 7 2 and Utnage bet 2,250. Rosen made the call but the other players mucked.

Michael Binger Applies Some Preflop Pressure
Michael Binger raised to 750 from the cutoff and was called by Christian Harder on the button. Scott Clements then reraised to 2,375 from the big blind and Binger took some time before reraising to 6,250.
Both Harder and Clements quickly folded and Binger chipped up to 72,000. Clements is still going strong with about 60,000.
Frank Calo Gets Double Knockout
On a flop of 1092, Andrew Flaherty checked and Frank Calo bet 3,200. Shannon Shorr then moved all in for 17,675 and Flaherty moved all in behind him for a little more.
Calo instantly called both all ins, showing pocket deuces for bottom set. Flaherty showed pocket kings and Shorr showed QJ for the open-ended straight draw.
The turn and river fell 43 and both Shorr and Flaherty hit the rail. Calo now has 95,000 in chips.
Tony Dunst Loses Chips
Tony Dunst raised to 800 from under the gun and was called by Justin Young in the cutoff and Men Nguyen in the small blind. The flop came down AJJ and Dunst continued with a bet of 1,700.
Young called and Nguyen folded, producing the 6 on the turn. Both players checked and the river was the 5. Young bet 3,800 and Dunst folded. Dunst is now down to 28,000 while Young is up to 27,000.
Faraz Jaka Calls All In To Double Up
On a board reading 842Q7, a player bets 15,000, enough to put Faraz Jaka all in for his last 12,825. After five minutes of thought, Jaka makes the call with pocket tens and his opponent showed pocket threes.
The action has started here at the WPT Festa al Lago with the introduction of Mike Sexton, the Royal Flush girls and Tony Dunst, the host of the new on air segment, “The Raw Deal”.
Players will begin with 40,000 in chips and the blinds will start at 50-100. Shuffle up and deal!
The World Poker Tour Festa al Lago Main Event will begin this Friday at noon PST. The tournament will feature a $10,000 buy-in and registration will remain open for the first eight levels of play.
The tournament action down at the Fontana Lounge has already seen its share of notable winners including November Nine member Matt Jarvis, John Cernuto, and James Van Alstyne. Card Player’s own Barry and Jeff Shulman both made the final table of the $1,000 limit hold’em event, finishing in fifth and third place respectively. John Phan took that event down after chopping with Joe Brandenburg.
The Festa al Lago Main Event will also feature the debut of Tony Dunst as a sideline reporter for an on air segment titled the “Raw Deal” which be be broadcasted on Fox Sports Net for the WPT’s ninth season.
Dunst is the latest in a number of changes for the WPT. This season Matt Savage was hired on as the Executive Tour Director, Kimberly Lansing returned as the tour’s anchor and the Royal Flush Girls were added to bring some sex appeal to the broadcast.

The field hit the money during the last two half-levels of the night and once they did, the casualties began to climb. Amit Makhija, Frank Kassela and Allen Cunningham were just a few of the names who hit the rail with some cash in their pockets.
Tony Dunst will enter Day 5 as one of the chip leaders as he bagged 1,546,000 in chips at the end of the night. Others with huge stacks include Josh Brikis, Phil Galfond and Johnny Chan.

Picking up the action on the turn, the board read J755 and a player bet 25,000 into a pot of about 45,000.
Michael Mizrachi raised to about 65,000. The action was back on his opponent and he eventually mucked his hand. Mizrachi scored a nice pot and he was up to 180,000.

Joe Awada moved all in preflop and one player decided to look him up. Here were their cards:

Awada was dominated but the flop looked promising as it came J87. Awada flopped a double gutter along with a flush draw. But the board offered no help on the turn or river as it came A and 9 respectively and Awada was out.
Harder Takes One
A player raised to 12,000 preflop and Christian Harder repopped to 36,500. His opponent called and the flop came down 653.
Both players checked and the turn was the 9. They checked again and they did the same when the Q fell on the river.
Harder then tabled 86 for top pair on the flop, which bettered his opponent’s AK. Harder took in the pot and he was up to 420,000.
Kenney Lets The Chips Fly
Bryn Kenney raised to 13,000 preflop and the player in the cutoff reraised to 37,500. Kenney made the call and the flop came down J109.
Kenney led out with 85,500 and his opponent mucked. Kenney then rubbed some salt in the wound as he tabled A5 for the stone-cold bluff.
Kenney raked in the pot and he was at 640,000.
Get Out Of His Way
Tony Dunst raised to 13,500 from the small blind and Isaac Krantz made the call from the big blind. The flop came down 1062 and Dunst led for 18,000.
Krantz raised to 41,000 and Dunst made the call. The turn was the 3 and Dunst checked. Krantz bet 100,000 and Dunst made the call. The river was the K and Dunst checked one more time.
Krantz moved all in, having Dunst covered. Dunst made the call and turned over K-10 for two pair and Krantz mucked. Dunst scored a massive pot and he was up with the big boys, holding a stack of 1.12 million.

Mercier Takes a Hit
We got to the table just in time to see Jason Mercier playing a big pot. His opponent held AA and Mercier showed A9.
The board ran out 7910QJ and Mercier doubled the player up to over 400,000 and Mercier was left with just 90,000.
Brown Cracks a Million
Matthew Brown cracked the one million chip mark when he got his opponent to move all-in with AQ and he called with 1010.
The board came 94542 and Brown’s pair held up and he moved up to 1,030,000.
Smith Moves All-in and Survives
Action folded to Gavin Smith in middle position and he moved all of his 43,000 chips into the middle and everybody folded around to the blinds. Both players contemplated calling, but eventually folded.
Smith showed KK while he picked up the blinds and antes and is around 57,000.
South Drops One
Cole South raised from the cutoff and the small blind called. Both players checked the flop of QJJ.
The 4 came on the turn and the small blind checked over to South, who bet 18,500. The small blind made it 45,000 and South put in another raise to 138,000. The small blind made the call and they saw the 9 come on the river.
Both players checked and the small blind showed A10, giving him an ace-high flush. South went to go muck his hand, but one of the players at the table asked to see his hand so the dealer flipped up the K5, giving him the king-high flush.
Player Doubles Up Through Phillips
With over 100,000 in the middle, the board read 87Q4 and Carter Phillips bet 63,000.
His opponent moved all-in for 215,000 more. Phillips made the call after a while with A8 and his opponent showed AQ. The 7 on the river and Phillips slipped to 225,000.
Dunst Chips Up Without Showdown
The flop was A109 and Tony Dunst bet out 3,500, which was called by his opponent.
The 5 came on the turn and both players checked to see 6 peel off on the river. Dunst moved all-in for 190,000 and his opponent thought for quite some time before folding. Dunst moved up to 565,000 with the pot.
Shorr Picks On a Girl
Lauren Kling raised to 10,000 from middle position and Shannon Shorr three-bet to 28,000 next to act. Kling made it 60,000 to go and Shorr went into the tank.
Shorr called after a couple of minutes of thought and the flop came Q76 and both players checked. The 7 and fell on the turn and Kling checked again. Shorr thought for almost a full three minutes before firing a bet of 75,000 out into the middle.
Kling folded instantly and slipped to 185,000 while Shorr moves to 460,500.

Action Folded around to Evelyn Ng in the small blind who made it 21,000 and Mark Gallagher called from the big blind. The two saw a flop 985 and Ng moved her last 89,000 into the middle. Gallagher made the call and it was time to go to showdown.
Ng showed AJ and Gallagher had outfopped her with the K9. The 10 on the turn was no help for Ng and the river was the 4, sealing her fate and sending her home earlier than she had wanted.
Theo Tran Finds Aces to Double
Theo Tran and Alan Keating each got over 300,000 chips into the middle preflop and Tran was at risk of elimination. Tran showed AA and was way ahead of the KK that Keating held.
The board ran out clean for Tran as it came J23108 and Tran doubled up to 650,000 while Keating dropped to 170,000.
Brandon Cantu Eliminated
Brandon Cantu was down to his last 60,000 after a showdown with his 10-8 against a shorter stacks pocket deuces crippled him. He moved his last 60,000 into the middle before the flop and Javier Martinez called from the big blind.
Cantu tabled 79 and Martinez showed AK. The flop was J76, giving Cantu the best hand, but Martinez a world of outs. The 4 on the turn was a brick, but the 10 hit the river and Martinez made the nuts and sent Cantu to the rail.
Filippo Takes Some Off Galfond
Phil Galfond, Eric Capra, and Filippo Candio all saw a flop and got to the turn with no betting. The board read Q10K8 and Galfond bet 57,000, which was twice the size of the pot. Candio made the call.
The 2 fell on the river and Galfond bet 126,000 and Candio made the call, tabling 88. Galfond mucked and Candio moved up to 860,000 while Galfond has 1,740,000.
Jason Somerville Eliminated
Jason Somerville got all of his remaining 300,000 chips in the middle on a flop of J54. Mads Wissing made the call and it was time for a showdown.
Somerville showed K6 and was on the flush draw, while Wissing held KJ, good for top pair. The turn was the 5 and the river was the 2, meaning Somerville was eliminated.
Scott Clements Drops a Pot
We caught up with the active on the river with the board reading K8723. Scott Clements was involved in a blind vs. blind scenario. His opponent bet 94,000 on the end and Scott Clements went into the tank. He eventually made the call. Clements’ opponent tabled the 32 for two pair and Clements mucked. He dropped to 660,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Eliminates a Player
Tony Dunst raised in late position with the QQ and a player in the big blind moved all in for 124,000 total. Dunst made the call and his opponent exposed the A4. The flop came 776 and Dunst was in good shape. However, the A on the turn put Dunst in bad shape. The Q on the river gave Dunst a full house and the pot. He was at around 1,600,000 after the hand.
Johnny Chan Nearing 2 Million
On a flop of J85 Johnny Chan bet 90,000 and a player directly to his left called. The turn brought the 9 and Chan checked. His opponent bet 80,000 and Chan called. The river brought the 2 and action went check-check. Chan tabled the 55 for a set and his opponent mucked. Chan was at about 1,900,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Wins a Pot
Matt Affleck bet 18,000 from the cutoff. Tony Dunst called from the button and so did another player from the blinds. The flop came J82 and Affleck led out for 30,000. Dunst made the call and the other player folded. The turn brought the A and Affleck checked. Dunst bet 75,000 and Affleck thought about it briefly before folding. Dunst and Affleck are two of the biggest stacks in the room.
Billirakis Knocks Out Three
Bernard Lee moved all-in for 64,000 and was called by Steve Billirakis. Steven Harstein then re-shoved all-in for 131,000 and Feming Chan was in the small blind and decided to move all-in for 350,000.
Action was back to Billirakis and he opted to call, putting all three other players at risk.

Jorgensen fired 300,000 and was called again. Jorgensen then showed A5 for the nut-flush and his oppoonent mucked. Jorgensen was up to 4.8 million after the hand.
Kostritsyn Scores The KO
Getty Mattingsley was all in for 761,000 preflop and Alexander Kostritsyn made the call. Here were the hands.

It was a race and Kostritsyn jumped ahead on the Q88 flop. The turn was the 8, giving each player a full house with Kostritsyn’s still being best. The river was the 3 and Mattignsley was out. Kostritsyn was at 6.1 million after the hand.
Bardah With Some Aggression
Ronnie Bardah raised to 80,000 and Gabriel Alarie made it 280,000 to go from the small blind. The big blind mucked and the action was back on Bardah.
He shoved for 1.12 million and Alarie took a session in the tank. He decided to release his hand and Bardah took a nice pot without the bother of a flop. He was up to 1.5 million.
Baldwin Gets Baked, But Then Doubles Through Brokos
Eric Baldwin raised to 76,000 preflop and David Baker moved all in from the small blind for 581,000. Baldwin made the call and the hands were turned over.

Baker: JJ
The race was on and each player got a piece of the QJ9 flop. Baldwin hit top pair and Baker nailed a set of jacks. The turn was the 8 and the river was the 3 and Baker doubled up to 1.2 million. Baldwin was down to 340,000.
A few hands later, Baldwin moved in for 340,000 and Andrew Brokos made the call. Brokos turned over A4 while Baldwin tabled KJ. Baldwin hit a king on the turn and it held up as he doubled to 750,000. Brokos was down to 2 million.
Ian Gordon moved all in for a little over 1 million and Tony Dunst snapped him off. Gordon turned over AQ but was dominated by Dunst’s AA.
Another player at the table announced he mucked the case A and that proved crushing as the flop fell QQ5, giving Gordon trip queens and a lock on the hand.
Dunst was drawing dead and to add insult to injury, the board finished off 2 and 2 to give Gordon a full house. Gordon doubled to 2 million while Dunst lost half of his stack, slipping to 900,000.
Guan Eliminated
Javier Martinez raised to 36,000 from the cutoff and Mozheng Guan repopped to 84,000 from the button. Martinez called and the flop came down A108.
Martinez led with 110,000 and Guan moved in for 480,000. Martinez made the call and turned over AQ for top pair and a club draw. Guan showed A6 for top pair and he was in trouble.
The turn was the 3 and the river was the 5, giving Martinez the flush and Guan was out.
Baldwin Makes It A Man’s World
Breeze Zuckerman, the last woman standing, moved all in preflop and Eric Baldwin looked her up from the button.
Baldwin: AA
Zuckerman: K10
Baldwin had Zuckerman in bad shape, but the flop gave her some help when it fell K75. The turn was the J, offering no help and the river sealed her fate when the Q showed up and Zuckerman was out. Baldwin was at 1.3 million after the hand.
Baker Doubles Up
David Baker moved all in for 200,000 preflop and David Assouline looked him up. Baker turned over 109 and was live against Assouline’s AJ.
The board ran out Q9884 to give Baker a pair of nines and the double up. He was at 480,000 after the hand while Assouline slipped to 1.1 million.
Panny Rides Into The Sunset
Sebastian Panny and Matthew Jarvis tangled in a huge pot that saw Panny all in preflop. Here were their hands:

Panny was in trouble and the flop came K105 to give both players a set. The turn was a blank in the 9 and the river was the K, giving Jarvis quads.
Panny, who was in the top 10 chip counts early in the day, was sent crashing to the rail. Jarvis was at 4.6 million.
Pettit Gets Short, Then Busts
Michael Pettit found the bulk of his chips in the middle against Jacob Tyler after the flop fell KJ6.

Joseph Cheong Takes Chip Lead
Joseph Cheong bet 195,000 from late position. Evan Lamprea raised all in for around 1,600,000. Action was folded back to Cheong. He made the call with pocket tens and was up against the AJ of his opponent. The board ran out 97243 and Lamprea was gone. Cheong took the chip lead after the hand with 12,900,000.
David Baker Doubles Up
David Baker opened from late position. Evgeny Shnayder three-bet and Baker got his stack of 1,750,000 in the middle. Baker exposed the AK and was in great shape versus the A9 of his opponent. The board ran out safe for Baker and he doubled to 3,750,000. Shnayder was left with just 390,000.
The chips are bagged and play has concluded for the night with the big clock showing 576 players remaining in the 2010 Main Event.
The field hit the money during the last two half-levels of the night and once they did, the casualties began to climb. Amit Makhija, Frank Kassela and Allen Cunningham were just a few of the names who hit the rail with some cash in their pockets.
Tony Dunst will enter Day 5 as one of the chip leaders as he bagged 1,546,000 in chips at the end of the night. Others with huge stacks include Josh Brikis, Phil Galfond and Johnny Chan.
The players will return Wednesday at noon to play five levels. The blinds will be 3,000-6,000 with a 1,000 ante. The average stack is 381,198 and the remaining players are guaranteed $24,079.

Both players checked and the turn was the 9. They checked again and they did the same when the Q fell on the river.
Harder then tabled 86 for top pair on the flop, which bettered his opponent’s AK. Harder took in the pot and he was up to 420,000.
Kenney Lets The Chips Fly
Bryn Kenney raised to 13,000 preflop and the player in the cutoff reraised to 37,500. Kenney made the call and the flop came down J109.
Kenney led out with 85,500 and his opponent mucked. Kenney then rubbed some salt in the wound as he tabled A5 for the stone-cold bluff.
Kenney raked in the pot and he was at 640,000.

Mercier Takes a Hit
We got to the table just in time to see Jason Mercier playing a big pot. His opponent held AA and Mercier showed A9.
The board ran out 7910QJ and Mercier doubled the player up to over 400,000 and Mercier was left with just 90,000.
Brown Cracks a Million
Matthew Brown cracked the one million chip mark when he got his opponent to move all-in with AQ and he called with 1010.
The board came 94542 and Brown’s pair held up and he moved up to 1,030,000.
Smith Moves All-in and Survives
Action folded to Gavin Smith in middle position and he moved all of his 43,000 chips into the middle and everybody folded around to the blinds. Both players contemplated calling, but eventually folded.
Smith showed KK while he picked up the blinds and antes and is around 57,000.
South Drops One
Cole South raised from the cutoff and the small blind called. Both players checked the flop of QJJ.
The 4 came on the turn and the small blind checked over to South, who bet 18,500. The small blind made it 45,000 and South put in another raise to 138,000. The small blind made the call and they saw the 9 come on the river.
Both players checked and the small blind showed A10, giving him an ace-high flush. South went to go muck his hand, but one of the players at the table asked to see his hand so the dealer flipped up the K5, giving him the king-high flush.
Player Doubles Up Through Phillips
With over 100,000 in the middle, the board read 87Q4 and Carter Phillips bet 63,000.
His opponent moved all-in for 215,000 more. Phillips made the call after a while with A8 and his opponent showed AQ. The 7 on the river and Phillips slipped to 225,000.
Dunst Chips Up Without Showdown
The flop was A109 and Tony Dunst bet out 3,500, which was called by his opponent.
The 5 came on the turn and both players checked to see 6 peel off on the river. Dunst moved all-in for 190,000 and his opponent thought for quite some time before folding. Dunst moved up to 565,000 with the pot.
Shorr Picks On a Girl
Lauren Kling raised to 10,000 from middle position and Shannon Shorr three-bet to 28,000 next to act. Kling made it 60,000 to go and Shorr went into the tank.
Shorr called after a couple of minutes of thought and the flop came Q76 and both players checked. The 7 and fell on the turn and Kling checked again. Shorr thought for almost a full three minutes before firing a bet of 75,000 out into the middle.

Ng showed AJ and Gallagher had outfopped her with the K9. The 10 on the turn was no help for Ng and the river was the 4, sealing her fate and sending her home earlier than she had wanted.
Theo Tran Finds Aces to Double
Theo Tran and Alan Keating each got over 300,000 chips into the middle preflop and Tran was at risk of elimination. Tran showed AA and was way ahead of the KK that Keating held.
The board ran out clean for Tran as it came J23108 and Tran doubled up to 650,000 while Keating dropped to 170,000.
Brandon Cantu Eliminated
Brandon Cantu was down to his last 60,000 after a showdown with his 10-8 against a shorter stacks pocket deuces crippled him. He moved his last 60,000 into the middle before the flop and Javier Martinez called from the big blind.
Cantu tabled 79 and Martinez showed AK. The flop was J76, giving Cantu the best hand, but Martinez a world of outs. The 4 on the turn was a brick, but the 10 hit the river and Martinez made the nuts and sent Cantu to the rail.
Filippo Takes Some Off Galfond
Phil Galfond, Eric Capra, and Filippo Candio all saw a flop and got to the turn with no betting. The board read Q10K8 and Galfond bet 57,000, which was twice the size of the pot. Candio made the call.
The 2 fell on the river and Galfond bet 126,000 and Candio made the call, tabling 88. Galfond mucked and Candio moved up to 860,000 while Galfond has 1,740,000.
Jason Somerville Eliminated
Jason Somerville got all of his remaining 300,000 chips in the middle on a flop of J54. Mads Wissing made the call and it was time for a showdown.
Somerville showed K6 and was on the flush draw, while Wissing held KJ, good for top pair. The turn was the 5 and the river was the 2, meaning Somerville was eliminated.
Scott Clements Drops a Pot
We caught up with the active on the river with the board reading K8723. Scott Clements was involved in a blind vs. blind scenario. His opponent bet 94,000 on the end and Scott Clements went into the tank. He eventually made the call. Clements’ opponent tabled the 32 for two pair and Clements mucked. He dropped to 660,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Eliminates a Player
Tony Dunst raised in late position with the QQ and a player in the big blind moved all in for 124,000 total. Dunst made the call and his opponent exposed the A4. The flop came 776 and Dunst was in good shape. However, the A on the turn put Dunst in bad shape. The Q on the river gave Dunst a full house and the pot. He was at around 1,600,000 after the hand.
Johnny Chan Nearing 2 Million
On a flop of J85 Johnny Chan bet 90,000 and a player directly to his left called. The turn brought the 9 and Chan checked. His opponent bet 80,000 and Chan called. The river brought the 2 and action went check-check. Chan tabled the 55 for a set and his opponent mucked. Chan was at about 1,900,000 after the hand.

Matt Affleck bet 18,000 from the cutoff. Tony Dunst called from the button and so did another player from the blinds. The flop came J82 and Affleck led out for 30,000. Dunst made the call and the other player folded. The turn brought the A and Affleck checked. Dunst bet 75,000 and Affleck thought about it briefly before folding. Dunst and Affleck are two of the biggest stacks in the room.
Billirakis Knocks Out Three
Bernard Lee moved all-in for 64,000 and was called by Steve Billirakis. Steven Harstein then re-shoved all-in for 131,000 and Feming Chan was in the small blind and decided to move all-in for 350,000.
Action was back to Billirakis and he opted to call, putting all three other players at risk.

Martinez led with 110,000 and Guan moved in for 480,000. Martinez made the call and turned over AQ for top pair and a club draw. Guan showed A6 for top pair and he was in trouble.
The turn was the 3 and the river was the 5, giving Martinez the flush and Guan was out.
Baldwin Makes It A Man’s World
Breeze Zuckerman, the last woman standing, moved all in preflop and Eric Baldwin looked her up from the button.

He made the call with pocket tens and was up against the AJ of his opponent. The board ran out 97243 and Lamprea was gone. Cheong took the chip lead after the hand with 12,900,000.
David Baker Doubles Up
David Baker opened from late position. Evgeny Shnayder three-bet and Baker got his stack of 1,750,000 in the middle. Baker exposed the AK and was in great shape versus the A9 of his opponent. The board ran out safe for Baker and he doubled to 3,750,000. Shnayder was left with just 390,000.
The chips are bagged and play has concluded for the night with the big clock showing 576 players remaining in the 2010 Main Event.
The field hit the money during the last two half-levels of the night and once they did, the casualties began to climb. Amit Makhija, Frank Kassela and Allen Cunningham were just a few of the names who hit the rail with some cash in their pockets.
Tony Dunst will enter Day 5 as one of the chip leaders as he bagged 1,546,000 in chips at the end of the night. Others with huge stacks include Josh Brikis, Phil Galfond and Johnny Chan.
The players will return Wednesday at noon to play five levels. The blinds will be 3,000-6,000 with a 1,000 ante. The average stack is 381,198 and the remaining players are guaranteed $24,079.

Kenney Lets The Chips Fly
Bryn Kenney raised to 13,000 preflop and the player in the cutoff reraised to 37,500. Kenney made the call and the flop came down J109.

Mercier Takes a Hit
We got to the table just in time to see Jason Mercier playing a big pot. His opponent held AA and Mercier showed A9.
The board ran out 7910QJ and Mercier doubled the player up to over 400,000 and Mercier was left with just 90,000.
Brown Cracks a Million
Matthew Brown cracked the one million chip mark when he got his opponent to move all-in with AQ and he called with 1010.
The board came 94542 and Brown’s pair held up and he moved up to 1,030,000.
Smith Moves All-in and Survives
Action folded to Gavin Smith in middle position and he moved all of his 43,000 chips into the middle and everybody folded around to the blinds. Both players contemplated calling, but eventually folded.
Smith showed KK while he picked up the blinds and antes and is around 57,000.
South Drops One
Cole South raised from the cutoff and the small blind called. Both players checked the flop of QJJ.
The 4 came on the turn and the small blind checked over to South, who bet 18,500. The small blind made it 45,000 and South put in another raise to 138,000. The small blind made the call and they saw the 9 come on the river.
Both players checked and the small blind showed A10, giving him an ace-high flush. South went to go muck his hand, but one of the players at the table asked to see his hand so the dealer flipped up the K5, giving him the king-high flush.
Player Doubles Up Through Phillips
With over 100,000 in the middle, the board read 87Q4 and Carter Phillips bet 63,000.
His opponent moved all-in for 215,000 more. Phillips made the call after a while with A8 and his opponent showed AQ. The 7 on the river and Phillips slipped to 225,000.
Dunst Chips Up Without Showdown
The flop was A109 and Tony Dunst bet out 3,500, which was called by his opponent.
The 5 came on the turn and both players checked to see 6 peel off on the river. Dunst moved all-in for 190,000 and his opponent thought for quite some time before folding. Dunst moved up to 565,000 with the pot.
Shorr Picks On a Girl
Lauren Kling raised to 10,000 from middle position and Shannon Shorr three-bet to 28,000 next to act. Kling made it 60,000 to go and Shorr went into the tank.
Shorr called after a couple of minutes of thought and the flop came Q76 and both players checked. The 7 and fell on the turn and Kling checked again. Shorr thought for almost a full three minutes before firing a bet of 75,000 out into the middle.

Ng showed AJ and Gallagher had outfopped her with the K9. The 10 on the turn was no help for Ng and the river was the 4, sealing her fate and sending her home earlier than she had wanted.
Theo Tran Finds Aces to Double
Theo Tran and Alan Keating each got over 300,000 chips into the middle preflop and Tran was at risk of elimination. Tran showed AA and was way ahead of the KK that Keating held.
The board ran out clean for Tran as it came J23108 and Tran doubled up to 650,000 while Keating dropped to 170,000.
Brandon Cantu Eliminated
Brandon Cantu was down to his last 60,000 after a showdown with his 10-8 against a shorter stacks pocket deuces crippled him. He moved his last 60,000 into the middle before the flop and Javier Martinez called from the big blind.
Cantu tabled 79 and Martinez showed AK. The flop was J76, giving Cantu the best hand, but Martinez a world of outs. The 4 on the turn was a brick, but the 10 hit the river and Martinez made the nuts and sent Cantu to the rail.
Filippo Takes Some Off Galfond
Phil Galfond, Eric Capra, and Filippo Candio all saw a flop and got to the turn with no betting. The board read Q10K8 and Galfond bet 57,000, which was twice the size of the pot. Candio made the call.
The 2 fell on the river and Galfond bet 126,000 and Candio made the call, tabling 88. Galfond mucked and Candio moved up to 860,000 while Galfond has 1,740,000.
Jason Somerville Eliminated
Jason Somerville got all of his remaining 300,000 chips in the middle on a flop of J54. Mads Wissing made the call and it was time for a showdown.
Somerville showed K6 and was on the flush draw, while Wissing held KJ, good for top pair. The turn was the 5 and the river was the 2, meaning Somerville was eliminated.
Scott Clements Drops a Pot
We caught up with the active on the river with the board reading K8723. Scott Clements was involved in a blind vs. blind scenario. His opponent bet 94,000 on the end and Scott Clements went into the tank. He eventually made the call. Clements’ opponent tabled the 32 for two pair and Clements mucked. He dropped to 660,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Eliminates a Player
Tony Dunst raised in late position with the QQ and a player in the big blind moved all in for 124,000 total. Dunst made the call and his opponent exposed the A4. The flop came 776 and Dunst was in good shape. However, the A on the turn put Dunst in bad shape. The Q on the river gave Dunst a full house and the pot. He was at around 1,600,000 after the hand.
Johnny Chan Nearing 2 Million
On a flop of J85 Johnny Chan bet 90,000 and a player directly to his left called. The turn brought the 9 and Chan checked. His opponent bet 80,000 and Chan called. The river brought the 2 and action went check-check. Chan tabled the 55 for a set and his opponent mucked. Chan was at about 1,900,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Wins a Pot
Matt Affleck bet 18,000 from the cutoff. Tony Dunst called from the button and so did another player from the blinds. The flop came J82 and Affleck led out for 30,000. Dunst made the call and the other player folded. The turn brought the A and Affleck checked. Dunst bet 75,000 and Affleck thought about it briefly before folding. Dunst and Affleck are two of the biggest stacks in the room.
Billirakis Knocks Out Three
Bernard Lee moved all-in for 64,000 and was called by Steve Billirakis. Steven Harstein then re-shoved all-in for 131,000 and Feming Chan was in the small blind and decided to move all-in for 350,000.
Action was back to Billirakis and he opted to call, putting all three other players at risk.

Baldwin Gets Baked, But Then Doubles Through Brokos
Eric Baldwin raised to 76,000 preflop and David Baker moved all in from the small blind for 581,000. Baldwin made the call and the hands were turned over.

The race was on and each player got a piece of the QJ9 flop. Baldwin hit top pair and Baker nailed a set of jacks. The turn was the 8 and the river was the 3 and Baker doubled up to 1.2 million. Baldwin was down to 340,000.
A few hands later, Baldwin moved in for 340,000 and Andrew Brokos made the call. Brokos turned over A4 while Baldwin tabled KJ. Baldwin hit a king on the turn and it held up as he doubled to 750,000. Brokos was down to 2 million.
Ian Gordon moved all in for a little over 1 million and Tony Dunst snapped him off. Gordon turned over AQ but was dominated by Dunst’s AA.
Another player at the table announced he mucked the case A and that proved crushing as the flop fell QQ5, giving Gordon trip queens and a lock on the hand.
Dunst was drawing dead and to add insult to injury, the board finished off 2 and 2 to give Gordon a full house. Gordon doubled to 2 million while Dunst lost half of his stack, slipping to 900,000.
Guan Eliminated
Javier Martinez raised to 36,000 from the cutoff and Mozheng Guan repopped to 84,000 from the button. Martinez called and the flop came down A108.
Martinez led with 110,000 and Guan moved in for 480,000. Martinez made the call and turned over AQ for top pair and a club draw. Guan showed A6 for top pair and he was in trouble.
The turn was the 3 and the river was the 5, giving Martinez the flush and Guan was out.
Baldwin Makes It A Man’s World
Breeze Zuckerman, the last woman standing, moved all in preflop and Eric Baldwin looked her up from the button.

Baldwin had Zuckerman in bad shape, but the flop gave her some help when it fell K75. The turn was the J, offering no help and the river sealed her fate when the Q showed up and Zuckerman was out. Baldwin was at 1.3 million after the hand.

David Baker moved all in for 200,000 preflop and David Assouline looked him up. Baker turned over 109 and was live against Assouline’s AJ.
The board ran out Q9884 to give Baker a pair of nines and the double up. He was at 480,000 after the hand while Assouline slipped to 1.1 million.
Panny Rides Into The Sunset
Sebastian Panny and Matthew Jarvis tangled in a huge pot that saw Panny all in preflop. Here were their hands:

Pettit Gets Short, Then Busts
Michael Pettit found the bulk of his chips in the middle against Jacob Tyler after the flop fell KJ6.
Pettit was left with just 8,000 after Tyler was all in and Pettit tabled 109 for a straight flush draw. Tyler held J10 for middle pair.
The flush or straight never came and Pettit lost the pot. He would bust a few hands later.

Gualter Salles was all in preflop against Adam Levy. The cards were then turned over.

Joseph Cheong Takes Chip Lead
Joseph Cheong bet 195,000 from late position. Evan Lamprea raised all in for around 1,600,000. Action was folded back to Cheong. He made the call with pocket tens and was up against the AJ of his opponent. The board ran out 97243 and Lamprea was gone. Cheong took the chip lead after the hand with 12,900,000.
David Baker Doubles Up
David Baker opened from late position. Evgeny Shnayder three-bet and Baker got his stack of 1,750,000 in the middle. Baker exposed the AK and was in great shape versus the A9 of his opponent. The board ran out safe for Baker and he doubled to 3,750,000. Shnayder was left with just 390,000.
The chips are bagged and play has concluded for the night with the big clock showing 576 players remaining in the 2010 Main Event.
The field hit the money during the last two half-levels of the night and once they did, the casualties began to climb. Amit Makhija, Frank Kassela and Allen Cunningham were just a few of the names who hit the rail with some cash in their pockets.
Tony Dunst will enter Day 5 as one of the chip leaders as he bagged 1,546,000 in chips at the end of the night. Others with huge stacks include Josh Brikis, Phil Galfond and Johnny Chan.
The players will return Wednesday at noon to play five levels. The blinds will be 3,000-6,000 with a 1,000 ante. The average stack is 381,198 and the remaining players are guaranteed $24,079.

Both players checked and the turn was the 9. They checked again and they did the same when the Q fell on the river.
Harder then tabled 86 for top pair on the flop, which bettered his opponent’s AK. Harder took in the pot and he was up to 420,000.
Kenney Lets The Chips Fly
Bryn Kenney raised to 13,000 preflop and the player in the cutoff reraised to 37,500. Kenney made the call and the flop came down J109.
Kenney led out with 85,500 and his opponent mucked. Kenney then rubbed some salt in the wound as he tabled A5 for the stone-cold bluff.

Mercier Takes a Hit
We got to the table just in time to see Jason Mercier playing a big pot. His opponent held AA and Mercier showed A9.
The board ran out 7910QJ and Mercier doubled the player up to over 400,000 and Mercier was left with just 90,000.
Brown Cracks a Million
Matthew Brown cracked the one million chip mark when he got his opponent to move all-in with AQ and he called with 1010.
The board came 94542 and Brown’s pair held up and he moved up to 1,030,000.
Smith Moves All-in and Survives
Action folded to Gavin Smith in middle position and he moved all of his 43,000 chips into the middle and everybody folded around to the blinds. Both players contemplated calling, but eventually folded.
Smith showed KK while he picked up the blinds and antes and is around 57,000.
South Drops One
Cole South raised from the cutoff and the small blind called. Both players checked the flop of QJJ.
The 4 came on the turn and the small blind checked over to South, who bet 18,500. The small blind made it 45,000 and South put in another raise to 138,000. The small blind made the call and they saw the 9 come on the river.
Both players checked and the small blind showed A10, giving him an ace-high flush. South went to go muck his hand, but one of the players at the table asked to see his hand so the dealer flipped up the K5, giving him the king-high flush.
Player Doubles Up Through Phillips
With over 100,000 in the middle, the board read 87Q4 and Carter Phillips bet 63,000.
His opponent moved all-in for 215,000 more. Phillips made the call after a while with A8 and his opponent showed AQ. The 7 on the river and Phillips slipped to 225,000.
Dunst Chips Up Without Showdown
The flop was A109 and Tony Dunst bet out 3,500, which was called by his opponent.
The 5 came on the turn and both players checked to see 6 peel off on the river. Dunst moved all-in for 190,000 and his opponent thought for quite some time before folding. Dunst moved up to 565,000 with the pot.
Shorr Picks On a Girl
Lauren Kling raised to 10,000 from middle position and Shannon Shorr three-bet to 28,000 next to act. Kling made it 60,000 to go and Shorr went into the tank.
Shorr called after a couple of minutes of thought and the flop came Q76 and both players checked. The 7 and fell on the turn and Kling checked again. Shorr thought for almost a full three minutes before firing a bet of 75,000 out into the middle.
Kling folded instantly and slipped to 185,000 while Shorr moves to 460,500.

Ng showed AJ and Gallagher had outfopped her with the K9. The 10 on the turn was no help for Ng and the river was the 4, sealing her fate and sending her home earlier than she had wanted.
Theo Tran Finds Aces to Double
Theo Tran and Alan Keating each got over 300,000 chips into the middle preflop and Tran was at risk of elimination. Tran showed AA and was way ahead of the KK that Keating held.
The board ran out clean for Tran as it came J23108 and Tran doubled up to 650,000 while Keating dropped to 170,000.
Brandon Cantu Eliminated
Brandon Cantu was down to his last 60,000 after a showdown with his 10-8 against a shorter stacks pocket deuces crippled him. He moved his last 60,000 into the middle before the flop and Javier Martinez called from the big blind.
Cantu tabled 79 and Martinez showed AK. The flop was J76, giving Cantu the best hand, but Martinez a world of outs. The 4 on the turn was a brick, but the 10 hit the river and Martinez made the nuts and sent Cantu to the rail.
Filippo Takes Some Off Galfond
Phil Galfond, Eric Capra, and Filippo Candio all saw a flop and got to the turn with no betting. The board read Q10K8 and Galfond bet 57,000, which was twice the size of the pot. Candio made the call.
The 2 fell on the river and Galfond bet 126,000 and Candio made the call, tabling 88. Galfond mucked and Candio moved up to 860,000 while Galfond has 1,740,000.
Jason Somerville Eliminated
Jason Somerville got all of his remaining 300,000 chips in the middle on a flop of J54. Mads Wissing made the call and it was time for a showdown.
Somerville showed K6 and was on the flush draw, while Wissing held KJ, good for top pair. The turn was the 5 and the river was the 2, meaning Somerville was eliminated.
Scott Clements Drops a Pot
We caught up with the active on the river with the board reading K8723. Scott Clements was involved in a blind vs. blind scenario. His opponent bet 94,000 on the end and Scott Clements went into the tank. He eventually made the call. Clements’ opponent tabled the 32 for two pair and Clements mucked. He dropped to 660,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Eliminates a Player
Tony Dunst raised in late position with the QQ and a player in the big blind moved all in for 124,000 total. Dunst made the call and his opponent exposed the A4. The flop came 776 and Dunst was in good shape. However, the A on the turn put Dunst in bad shape. The Q on the river gave Dunst a full house and the pot. He was at around 1,600,000 after the hand.
Johnny Chan Nearing 2 Million
On a flop of J85 Johnny Chan bet 90,000 and a player directly to his left called. The turn brought the 9 and Chan checked. His opponent bet 80,000 and Chan called. The river brought the 2 and action went check-check. Chan tabled the 55 for a set and his opponent mucked. Chan was at about 1,900,000 after the hand.
Tony Dunst Wins a Pot
Matt Affleck bet 18,000 from the cutoff. Tony Dunst called from the button and so did another player from the blinds. The flop came J82 and Affleck led out for 30,000. Dunst made the call and the other player folded. The turn brought the A and Affleck checked. Dunst bet 75,000 and Affleck thought about it briefly before folding. Dunst and Affleck are two of the biggest stacks in the room.
Billirakis Knocks Out Three
Bernard Lee moved all-in for 64,000 and was called by Steve Billirakis. Steven Harstein then re-shoved all-in for 131,000 and Feming Chan was in the small blind and decided to move all-in for 350,000.
Action was back to Billirakis and he opted to call, putting all three other players at risk.

Bardah With Some Aggression
Ronnie Bardah raised to 80,000 and Gabriel Alarie made it 280,000 to go from the small blind. The big blind mucked and the action was back on Bardah.
He shoved for 1.12 million and Alarie took a session in the tank. He decided to release his hand and Bardah took a nice pot without the bother of a flop. He was up to 1.5 million.
Baldwin Gets Baked, But Then Doubles Through Brokos
Eric Baldwin raised to 76,000 preflop and David Baker moved all in from the small blind for 581,000. Baldwin made the call and the hands were turned over.

The race was on and each player got a piece of the QJ9 flop. Baldwin hit top pair and Baker nailed a set of jacks. The turn was the 8 and the river was the 3 and Baker doubled up to 1.2 million. Baldwin was down to 340,000.
A few hands later, Baldwin moved in for 340,000 and Andrew Brokos made the call. Brokos turned over A4 while Baldwin tabled KJ. Baldwin hit a king on the turn and it held up as he doubled to 750,000. Brokos was down to 2 million.
Ian Gordon moved all in for a little over 1 million and Tony Dunst snapped him off. Gordon turned over AQ but was dominated by Dunst’s AA.
Another player at the table announced he mucked the case A and that proved crushing as the flop fell QQ5, giving Gordon trip queens and a lock on the hand.
Dunst was drawing dead and to add insult to injury, the board finished off 2 and 2 to give Gordon a full house. Gordon doubled to 2 million while Dunst lost half of his stack, slipping to 900,000.
Guan Eliminated
Javier Martinez raised to 36,000 from the cutoff and Mozheng Guan repopped to 84,000 from the button. Martinez called and the flop came down A108.
Martinez led with 110,000 and Guan moved in for 480,000. Martinez made the call and turned over AQ for top pair and a club draw. Guan showed A6 for top pair and he was in trouble.
The turn was the 3 and the river was the 5, giving Martinez the flush and Guan was out.
Baldwin Makes It A Man’s World
Breeze Zuckerman, the last woman standing, moved all in preflop and Eric Baldwin looked her up from the button.

Baldwin had Zuckerman in bad shape, but the flop gave her some help when it fell K75. The turn was the J, offering no help and the river sealed her fate when the Q showed up and Zuckerman was out. Baldwin was at 1.3 million after the hand.
Baker Doubles Up
David Baker moved all in for 200,000 preflop and David Assouline looked him up. Baker turned over 109 and was live against Assouline’s AJ.
The board ran out Q9884 to give Baker a pair of nines and the double up. He was at 480,000 after the hand while Assouline slipped to 1.1 million.
Panny Rides Into The Sunset
Sebastian Panny and Matthew Jarvis tangled in a huge pot that saw Panny all in preflop. Here were their hands:

Panny was in trouble and the flop came K105 to give both players a set. The turn was a blank in the 9 and the river was the K, giving Jarvis quads.
Panny, who was in the top 10 chip counts early in the day, was sent crashing to the rail. Jarvis was at 4.6 million.
Pettit Gets Short, Then Busts
Michael Pettit found the bulk of his chips in the middle against Jacob Tyler after the flop fell KJ6.
Pettit was left with just 8,000 after Tyler was all in and Pettit tabled 109 for a straight flush draw. Tyler held J10 for middle pair.
The flush or straight never came and Pettit lost the pot. He would bust a few hands later.
Ruthless
Gualter Salles was all in preflop against Adam Levy. The cards were then turned over.

James Fennell got all his chips in the middle preflop with the 88 versus the 97and Theo Jorgensen. The flop was horrible for Fennell as it came 974. The A on the turn and 10 on the river made it official. Fennell was gone. Jorgensen was up 10,400,000 after the hand.
Sergey Rybachenko Eliminated
Sergey Rybachenko was all in with the KQ against the A9 of Cuong Nguyen. The board ran out 95387 and Rybachenko was gone. Nguyen was up to 7,700,000 after the hand.
Joseph Cheong Takes Chip Lead
Joseph Cheong bet 195,000 from late position. Evan Lamprea raised all in for around 1,600,000. Action was folded back to Cheong. He made the call with pocket tens and was up against the AJ of his opponent. The board ran out 97243 and Lamprea was gone. Cheong took the chip lead after the hand with 12,900,000.

David Baker opened from late position. Evgeny Shnayder three-bet and Baker got his stack of 1,750,000 in the middle. Baker exposed the AK and was in great shape versus the A9 of his opponent. The board ran out safe for Baker and he doubled to 3,750,000. Shnayder was left with just 390,000.

The initial raiser folded and the next player to act called, prompting a fold from the third player. The flop came 1042 and Tran’s opponent bet 675. Tran made the call. The 4 hit the turn and the unknown went all in for 900 and Tran made the instant call. Tran tabled the AA while his opponent flipped over the A10. The 9 brick on the river sent the pot to Tran who is now at 7,200.
Chad Batista Doubles Up an Opponent
We caught up with the action on a flop of 883 with Chad Batista raising a 500 bet from an opponent, making it 1,500 to go. His opponent announced all in and Batista made the call for a little bit more. His opponent tabled pocket tens while Batista exposed the A3 and failed to improve. Batista is at 4,125 after the hand.
Brian Rast Loses a Hand
We met up with the action on a flop of 877 with Brian Rast on the button versus a player in middle position. Rast’s opponent bet 325 and he called. The 10 fell on the turn and action went check-check. The 4 hit the river and Rast’s opponent bet 1,000 prompting a long decision for Rast. He eventually made the call and his opponent tabled 10-10 for a turned full house. Rast mucked and is now at 3,800.
Tony Dunst Looking Good
With 9,600 in his stack, Tony Dunst had an opponent in for just over 2,000. Dunst tabled the A10 and was up against the pocket kings of his opponent. Dunst flopped an ace and it held to eliminate a player. He is now at 12,000.
Phan Doubles Through Lindgren
Erick Lindgren limped in and then was faced with an all-in from Tim Phan for 1,000. Lindgren made the call and tabled KK and Phan showed AK.
The flop was good for Phan as it came AQ7. The turn kept Phan in the lead with the 6 and the A came on the river, giving Phan trips and the pot. “I wonder how you beat me online,” said Lindgren as Phan stacked his chips.

David Ulliott called a raise to 200 from Josh Stern and they saw a flop heads up of K108. Stern bet 400 and was called by Ulliott.
The turn was the 2 and now Stern checked. Ulliott bet 700 and was met with a check-raise all in fro 1,625 more.
“They usually do that,” said Ulliott while he was contemplating a call. Ulliott let it go and has dropped to 3,400.
Dunst Grows Stack Quickly
Tony “Bond18” Dunst was already more than doubled up when he found himself in a great position to add more to his stack.
Dunst’s opponent found a way to get his whole stack in preflop with K-Q and was up against Dunst’s A-Q. The board was friendly to Dunst and kept him in the lead the whole way to propel him to 9,500 in chips.
Chan Gets Best of Griffin
We got to the action a little late, but Gavin Griffin was all in and way ahead of Terrance Chan. Chan held pocket queens, but Griffin had pocket aces. The queen on the river sent Griffin home earlier than he would have liked.
Chan is now up to 11,500 and said “It’s the first time I’m genuinely unhappy to win an all-in in a big tournament.”
Will Failla Wins a Large Pot
Will Failla bet 275 on the button with about 4,000 in his stack and the small blind and a player in early position called. The flop came 552 and the small blind checked. The player in early position bet 200 and Failla raised to 600. The initial bettor called and the 10 fell on the turn. Failla’s opponent bet 500 and Failla made the call. The Q hit the felt and it was checked to Failla bet 600. The bet was quickly called and Failla tabled pocket kings while his opponent mucked A-Q face up. Failla is now up to 5,500.
Hal Lubarsky Wins a Pot
Tony Dunst bet 150 from early position and the player next to act called. Hal Lubarsky made the call on the button with about 1,200 in his stack. The flopped AJ9 and action went check-check to Lubarsky, who went all in for about 800. Both his opponents folded and Lubarsky took the 1,425 chip pot.
