Storylines/Big Hands
Play has slowed considerably after two quick eliminations shortly after players redrew seats for the final two tables. Lots of preflop raising is going uncalled, and few hands get to the river.
Kohnen Doubles Up with Kings
J.C. Tran was under the gun and raised to 42,000, before Peter Nguyen reraised to 137,000. Christoph Kohnen was next to act and moved all-in for just over 300,000. Tran quickly folded and Nguyen made the call, showing JJ. Kohnen held KK. The flop came AQ7, and finished with the 9 on the turn and 2 on the river as Kohnen doubled his stack.
Silva Still Aggressive
Anderson Silva is a fan of the all-in ploy, and has the chip stack to deter almost all callers. After he raised to 50,000 from the button, chip leader Rasmus Nielsen looked him up from the big blind. The flop came A102, and after Nielsen checked SIlva uttered another all-in and managed to take the pot.
Moungey Takes from Nguyen
Jason Moungey in the small blind raised to 45,000 and Peter Nguyen called. The flop came Q98 and Moungey bet out 80,000. Nguyen folded to the move.
Razavian Doubles Up
Jason Moungey raised and Parviz Razavian moved all-in for 135,000. Moungey called and showed A8. He trailed the AJ of Razavian, and never improved when the board finished 107422.
Mounrey Flushes for Win
John Conroy raised to 35,000 from the button and Jason Moungey called from the big blind. The flop came 643 and both players checked. The A was the turn card, Moungey checked, then called a 41,000 bet from Conroy. The 8 on the river completed the four-flush and both players checked again. Moungey held A9 for the flush, which bettered Conroy's AQ.
Siu Makes His Move
Chad Siu was under the gun and raised to 37,000. Brett Switzer, on the button, reraised to 116,000. Siu elected to make the call. The flop came Q106 and Siu quickly announced all-in. Switzer released his hand.
