Affectionately known as the "Westworld Cowboy" or "Mr.Move All In," Corkins has a table presence that leaves players reeling from his aggressive and often confrontational style of play.
This Alabama-born poker superstar learned the game from his father and credits him with teaching him his ferocious “attack-first” style of play. Corkins has turned his aggressive nature into several big paydays and first-place finishes with both a World Series of Poker title in 1992 and a $1 million victory World Poker Tour title at Foxwoods in 2003.
Corkins also collected a big cash at last year's World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions where he finished second, earning $325,000 for his efforts. Then at the 2007 WSOP, he clenched his second bracelet in the $2,500 buy-in no-limit six-handed event. At the 2008 WPT World Poker Open, Corkins went heads up for another title. This time he fell just short and took home more than $458,000 for runner-up.
