Dana Kellstrom Looking For a Double Up

Dana Kellstrom was down to about 20,000 and was in need of something good to happen.
“This might be my bustout or my double up,” he said and tossed a 5,000 chip into the middle from the hijack seat.
However, Kellstrom found no opponents who wanted to get into the pot and he flashed two black nines as he raked in the blinds and antes.

Dana Kellstrom Triples Up Just Before Break

 After having a less than stellar start to the day, Dana Kellstrom was able to triple-up just before the last break.
Holding ace-king Kellstrom limped in with the blinds at 100-220 and an opponent re-raised to 1,650. The small blind called and Kellstrom shoved for his last 12,500. The other two players called and saw a flop of AxJx6x. The small blind checked, the other player bet 8,000 and the small blind folded.
Kellstrom’s final opponent showed pocket queens and Kellstrom’s aces held as the board completed, giving him a triple-up.

Rough Start for Dana Kellstrom

Dana Kellstrom told us he has had a rough start here on day 1, but he is hoping it turns around before the registration period ends in about 30-minutes.
Kellstrom said he lost a hand after flopping a set of tens, then lost another hand after turning a set of sixes and finally, lost yet another hand with top two pair.
We will keep an eye on Kellstrom to see if his day improves or if he makes his exit and returns tomorrow for another shot.

We caught up with the action on a board of K 9 6. Men Nguyen moved all in for 95,000 and his opponent went into the tank. His opponent eventually folded pocket jacks face up. Nguyen flashed the 87 and took the pot. He is now at 200,000.
Dana Kellstrom Wins a Massive Pot
We didn’t see any action in the hand, but we saw three hands exposed, with Dana Kellstrom having the best of it with the AA on the river. His opponents had pocket kings and the 8 7, respectively. The aces held and Kellstrom raked in the 400,000 chip pot.
