Orel Hershiser may have had the least amount of poker accomplishments of the bunch into the 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship, but he definitely had the most major league baseball wins. The former pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers made his first appearance in televised poker that year at the NHUPC, and he played his Dark Horse role well, making it all the way to the Elite Eight after defeating such big-name pros as Ted Forrest, Allen Cunningham, and Freddy Deeb.
He currently serves as an analyst for Baseball Tonight on ESPN, and resides in Las Vegas, where he can surely find places to sharpen his poker game.
