With just the blinds in the pot, the flop comes 10 3 2 and Johnny Lodden in early position bets 400. Ricardo Sousa (pictured right) looks as if he's thinking deep about it but then looking around says, "Oh sorry! Did you bet? OK call!" The turn comes the 4, Lodden fires in 1,150, and Sousa folds.

Elsewhere, on Michael Tureniec's table, there is 2,600 in the pot and the board reads 10 4 4. The big blinds bets 1,000 and Tureniec makes the call from the hijack. The turn is the 10 and both players check. The A comes in on the river and the big blind bets 1,000. Tureniec calls and when he sees his opponent's A 8, he mucks.

With confusion reigning over whether a player should put in 600 or 650 after announcing a raise, Ramzi jelassi, the initial raiser to 300, told his opponent it must be 650. The player was not satisfied so the floorman was called over to sort out the disturbance. It was finally resolved that the player should put in 650. "Just go all-in!" said Jelassi smiling. He rereraises it to 2,000 on top and his opponent folds. Jelassi holds up 50 in chips and laughs at the other player. "Chip leader, eh?" he  says, shrugging.

Sousa Slated

A lot of noise is coming from the back of the room, where there are still a few tables on the higher ground. One of these holds Portuguese Ricardo Sousa, who looked as if he was having a great day earlier, laughing and joking with his table.

That all changed just moments ago, when the room's attention was drawn to the biggest opponent on Sousa's table shouting out loud, "Shut up! They are my chips! I can do what I want with them! You are not my teacher! You are not the best player in the world, you know!" Sousa (not the biggest of men) sat there quietly stunned. As the French aggressor went to keep shouting, another French player at the table intervened and silenced him.

Sousa then got involved in the next hand, raising to 750 preflop, and got two callers.

The flop was dealt - K107. The big blind checked, Sousa bet 400, the French peace-keeper called,and the big blind folded.

The turn was the A. Sousa checked, his opponent bet 2,000 and Sousa slowly called.

The river was the 10 and both players checked.

The mediator showed QJ for the straight and Sousa mucked his cards.

Hopefully, he will not let the mishap put him on tilt, as he doesn't look very happy at the moment, and there is a lot of tension at his table. He is probably hoping there will be a table change soon.

Sousa Scratches his Head

Ricardo Sousa raised preflop and the button and big blind called. The flop comes Q-Q-6.

The big blind leads for 1,200 and Sousa calls. The button folds and the turn is a 7. It's checks all around and the river is a 5.

The big blind checks and Sousa shoves for 4,000. He is called and his opponent shows a monstrous A-Q.

Sousa has K-Q and is out. He is left scratching his head and wondering how on earth it happened, and where that bombshell came from.

A Lorra Pots with Ilari

You can't pass Ilari Sahamies' table without finding him involved in a pot.

Sahamies bet 925 and the player to his right in seat 5 called. The flop came down AA7, seat 5 checked and Sahamies bet 1,250. Seat 5 insta-called provoking a worried look from Sahamies. The turn fell the Q, seat 7 checked once again, and this time, after some thought, Sahamies cautiously checked behind. The river was the 2 and both players checked. Seat 7 showed what Sahamies expected, the A, with the 5, and he mucked.

Sahamies was on the big blind in the next hand and seat 4 went all in for 3,400. Sahamies goes into the tank and then calls but he is not happy about it. He slams his chips into the middle and flips over QJ, while seat 4 reveals 88.

The board falls A10652 and Sahamies bleeds some more chips. At this point, he had just over 8,000 chips.

Noone can turn their back on Sahamies for a moment, as just when it got a little quiet he was back at it again. This time with better consequences.

Ricardo Sousa bet 800 and Sahamies raised to 2,500. Sousa then went all in and Sahamies was right behind him.

Sousa showed pocket queens but Sahamies flipped over pocket aces and finally chipped up. Sousa walked away with his head hanging.

No Card-o for Ricardo

The player to the right of Ricardo Sousa (seat 1) pushes all in on a board of A 9 8 9, and Soussa calls. The river is a blank as seat 1 reveals pocket aces, Sousa's meagre A-Q just ain't enough and he hits the rail. Scotty Nguyen missed the action, he was away from the table. Seeing the chips being shipped in the other direction, he says, "You know you got lucky there, if I was here you wouldn't have gotten away."
