Dario Minieri Eliminated
Feb 18, '09
After a lot of battling back and forth between the small Italian poker savage Dario Minieri and Dane Klaus T. Madsen, it finally got the better of one of them.
Minieri bet 800, Madsen called, and the flop came AK7. Both players checked it down and the turn came the 3.
Minieri bet 5,050 and Madsen called. The river fell the 3 and both players checked once again. However, after all that action, it was just not to be for Minieri as when he flipped over K-Q, so too did Madsen... chop chop!
Minieri then had 7,300 and made his next move soon after when under the gun. He bet 900 and the player in seat 1 called, as did Madsen, eager for more action. The blinds folded and the flop fell 832.
The Italian, whose hair was starting to take a new life form by itself from all the pulling at it he was doing, then bet 1,525 and Madsen called again.
The turn came the 10 and Minieri shoved all in for 4,725, while saying, "I want you to fold." It was true because - he stood up, Madsen called, the river was the 3, and Minieri's pocket fours were almost embarassing compared to Madsen's A10.
