Hand of the Tournament?Oct 24, '08 We may have just caught the hand of the tournament and it was between Olav Sachsen and Osmin "Odie" Dardon. The flop came out 1084 and Olav Sachsen checked. Mike Wattel then bet 50,000 and Odie Dardon thought a moment before making it 125,000. The action moves over to Sachsen who tanks for several minutes before his trembling hands push forward a raise to 375,000. Wattel quickly folds and the action is back on Dardon. Dardon tanks for about a minute before he asks Sachsen how much he has behind. The count is 290,000 and Dardon quickly does the math. He has both the raise and the amount behind covered, but something is bothering him. After about another minute of thought, Dardon mucks 44 face up and the table is stunned. Dardon walks away from the table, towards the balcony overlooking the Bellagio fountain, when Sachsen shows 1010 to the rest of the table. Dardon is informed he made the right decision and he immediately bursts into celebration, giving fist pumps on the balcony for several minutes before returning to the table. After the hand, Dardon was left with 825,000 in chips while Sachsen moved up to 935,000.
