Tent Boy - Vincent Secher
Apr 16, '08
Vincent Secher started out this tournament living in a tent in Nice for lodging. PokerStars got wind of this and paid for his room here at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort Casino. To show his appreciation Secher has been wearing a bath robe from his room while he plays in the tournament field today. He currently has 460,000 and is guaranteed to walk away with at least $87,277 in prize money. Not a bad swing from that tent in the outskirts of Nice a few days ago.

After Vincent Secher reraises preflop, Thomas Boekhoff pushes all in, having Secher covered. Secher thinks before calling with pocket jacks, and Boekhoff turns over A 10. Daniel Negreanu says that he hates the move Boekhoff made with A-10, because he had seen Secher reraise and commit himself with the stack that he had. The board ran out 6 5 2 2 5, putting out two pair, but leaving Secher in the lead to take down the pot. He now sits with 429,000, and Boekhoff is down to 512,000.

The river, however, is the 8, and Secher doubles up to about 180,000.
