Ariel Schneller Doubles Up Another
Despite his chip lead, Ariel Schneller has been giving some back to the smaller stacks. In the limit round, Schneller raised from the cut-off and faced a reraise from the player in the big blind. Schneller called and both players saw a J

6 flop. A betting/raising war ensued, and when all the money got in Schneller held 76
against his opponent’s JJ. The turn and river failed to bring the case 6 to Schneller.
Hellmuth Questions Andy Bloch’s “Math”
While raising on the button in the limit round, Phil Hellmuth quipped that Andy Bloch would likely call from the big blind because of “the math” while gesturing hand quotation marks. Bloch did call, and both players saw the K
JT flop. Bloch checked and Hellmuth bet, prompting Andy to raise the rest of Hellmuth’s stack. Phil called and flipped over K9, a “mathematical” favorite over Bloch’s T3. The 6 turn and 7 river didn’t improve Bloch, and Hellmuth doubled up to over 7,000.
William Chen Takes Down a Big One
In the no-limit round, William Chen fired a bet of 8,000 on a board of K433. His opponent raised to 16,000 causing Chen to instantly raise all in. His opponent deliberated and folded, leaving Chen to flash the 4 and challenge his opponent to “figure out” what his other card was.
Giang and Lindgren Mix It Up
After raising to 1,800 pre-flop in the no-limit round, Chau Giang found himself staring down the barrel of an all in from Erick Lindgren. Giang folded to the 10,000 reraise, and Lindgren dragged the pot.
Devilfish Out of Water, Eliminated by Hoyt Corkins
In the no-limit round, David “Devilfish” Ulliot moved all in for 4,100, leaving Hoyt Corkins next to act. While Corkins considered his move, Ulliot began singing to the other players, much to the amusement of the spectators. Hoyt eventually moved all in for over 12,000 and generated immediate folds from all but Phil Hellmuth, who pondered for some time before mucking. Ulliot turned over AJ and found himself dominated by Hoyt’s JJ. The board failed to bring help to Devilfish, and he was eliminated. Hellmuth declared that he had folded the AJ.
Chipleader Ariel Schneller Busts Phil Hellmuth
Shortly after avoiding elimination with his suited ace-jack, Phil Hellmuth took his last stand by pushing his last 4,975 against a button raise from chipleader Ariel Schneller. When deciding whether to call, Schneller wondered aloud how bad the berating from Hellmuth would be for calling with his hand. He eventually made the call with his 95 against Hellmuth’s AQ. The T63 flop and K turn were favorable to Hellmuth, but the 9 on the river sent Hellmuth to the rail.
