Jed Hoffman Climbs to 44,000
Mar 29, '14
Two-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Jed Hoffman is up to about 44,000 after a rivered flush in a recent hand. We missed the action, but Hoffman recounted the hand for us:
Greg Pincombe raised to 2,300 from the cutoff and Hoffman moved all-in for 24,00 from the button. Mark Lamb snap-called from the small blind and Pincombe got out of the way.
Lamb had been dealt pocket queens, while Hoffman was in possession of 86. Pincombe said he had folded ace-queen. Lamb was ahead after a flop of 8×102 but Hoffman picked up plenty of outs. Lamb was still ahead when the A opened on the turn, but Hoffman would win the pot and a double-up when the K opened up on the river.

Chips For Mitchell Cogert

With the board reading Q86 Mitchell Cogert raised to 12,500 from the small blind and action rested on Greg Pincombs.
“We probably have the same hand,” Pincombs said. “I’e been running bad with this hand.”
Pincombs let go of his cards and said he had been dealt ace-king.
