William Thorson Doubles Up
William Thorson is riding high after winning the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship last night and he’s already started off the High Roller Event with a bang as well.
On a board reading 9835, Thorson was all in holding 76 against the 107 of Cornel Cimpan. The river was the 8 and Thorson doubled up to about 90,000 in chips. Cimpan, runner-up in last year’s POY race, is now down to 7,500.
