Table 47: Michael “Timex” McDonald and Jeff Madsen
Table 52: Ludovic Lacay and Steve O’Dwyer
Table 54: 2009 PCA Champion Poorya Nazari, Vadim Trincher, and Ray Henson
Table 60: Alex Keating, and Team Pokerstars pros Katja Thater and Greg Raymer
Table 75: Dan O’Brien, Team PokerStars Pro John Duthie
Rob Woodcock Takes a Hit
As a board of A-J-8-5-5 ran out on the table Rob Woodcock and Gardar Hauksson got involved in a battle of bets and raises that grew the pot to 60,000 by the time the showdown took place. Hauksson turned over pocket kings and Woodcock turned over 9-4 for a bluff that was represented aces gone wrong. Woodcock was knocked down to 15,000 after the hand while Hauksson jumped into the early chip lead with 60,000.
Daniel Negreanu Grabs an Early Pot
Team PokerStars pro won a duel with Pierre Neuville during the last level to give him a slight bump in chips. Neuville held K-Q on a A-4-3-10-2 board, but Negreanu flipped over pocket fives for a wheel to grow his stack to 39,200.
