Angel Guillen burst onto the poker scene at the 2009 World Series of Poker by becoming the second Mexican National in history to win a gold bracelet. Guillen started off his series by finishing second in event no. 13, a $2,500 no-limit hold'em tournament. Nine days later, he made up for his runner-up performance by taking down event no. 32. His combined winnings for both events total more than $840,000.
In addition to playing poker, Guillen also enjoys playing chess, math puzzles, reading and travel.
