Erkut Yilmaz Wins Card Player Poker Tour Atlantis Main EventMar 31, '14 After a three-hour heads-up battle Erkut Yilmaz defeated Vincent Remmel to win the Card Player Poker Tour Atlantis $1,100 no-limit hold’em $125,000 guarantee main event for $42,665. After trading chips and the chip lead back and forth, Remmel moved all-in for his last 430,000 and Yilmaz snap-called. Remmel showed A2 and Yilmaz turned up K5. The would-be champion picked up a pair of fives on a flop of 1053. The turn was the 10 and the 8 on the river would seal the deal with Yilmaz as the winner. He also picked up 336 Card Player Player of the Year points. Yilmaz outlasted a field of 182 players to become the fourth CPPT champion of Season II. Remmel left with $34,467 for his efforts.
